Neville Goddard Quotes
This is a systematic study of everything that Neville Goddard taught using every single quote from a complete archive of his work that is available here for you to read and comprehend. This goes beyond any AI system out there created to replicate his character using his work, because this IS the source itself in as many variances as is available to study. This is NOT interpretation but pure quotation from his work. Interpretation will be offered parallel, though none of this is interpreted through the lens of a machine learning AI model. Everything is rooted in direct quotation and facts that he taught and we can reference to back up such an interpretation from the source material itself. The lectures will be the primary medium of his work to study with some references from his books also thrown in to confirm or deny. There will also be eventually a chronological study of his points over time and how they expanded to add further depth to this systematic study.
Below is his work sorted by primary subject, then term, then examples of those that he used. Only his main doctrinal points will receive dedicated pages worth studying. Quotes surrounding the paragraph with the main point worth studying may be included to further emphasize context.

Christ in you - 1969
"An imaginal act is a creative act, for the moment it is felt, the seed (or state) is fertilized. It will take a certain length of time to be born, so start today by assuming you are the man (or woman) you would like to be and let the people in your mind’s eye reflect the truth of your assumption. Be faithful to your assumption. Persist in this thought, for persistence is the way to bring your desire to pass. You don’t persist through effort or fear, rather knowing that your imaginal act is now a fact; wait for its birth, for it will come."
A lesson in scripture - 1967
"“The story of Jesus is a persistent assumption.” This is true in every aspect of your life. You want to be rich? That’s the story of Jesus, which is a persistent assumption in the conviction that “I AM rich,” for unless you believe that “I AM rich” you die in your sins and continue to claim “I AM poor.” You want to be known? Then persistently assume: “I AM known.” Want to be healthy? “I AM healthy!” Regardless of what you want to be, you must declare you already are it and persist in that assumption. An assumption is an act of faith, and without faith it is impossible to please God. Your reasoning mind may deny wealth. Your senses deny it too, but if you have faith you will dare to assume wealth, thereby becoming the man you want to be."
"So here tonight, for those who want the law, you’ll get it. The law is simple. There are infinite states, but infinite states, good, bad and indifferent, and they’re all part of the eternal structure of the universe. You are a pilgrim moving. You wittingly or unwittingly go into a state. Someone can get into an argument with you and lead you out into a state, a state of horror. They can present the most wonderful pictures and show you and give you reasons for it and lead you into that cesspool; they can do it. I ask you to remember in every state, it’s only a state. You find yourself in it and it’s not love, it’s not what you want, get out of it, no matter how wise he was or she was who suggested your entrance into that state. They’ll do it…they’re doing it morning, noon and night. But I ask you who come here, pick out noble states, yes, states of security, nothing wrong with that, states of love, states of dignity, all these wonderful states, and occupy them.
How do I know I’m occupying the state? I simply look mentally at my world, and my world that I see mentally should reflect the state I’m occupying. If I don’t see it reflected on the screen of my mind, I’m not in it. I always have a frame of reference, so look at my friends, do they see me as they must see me were I the man that I would like to be? Well then, I’m in the state. But bear in mind, you can occupy a state in the twinkle of an eye and get out of that state just as fast. Well, how do I know that I’m in a state that I would call home? How do I know it? That state to which I most constantly return constitutes my home. Like my apartment here, I will go out and remain out for hours, and I’m going to leave it for months, but it’s a home to which I can return. When I return, the home is waiting for me; it’s home, I’m not putting my things in storage. So that place to which I return most constantly, as I return to my apartment day after day, that constitutes my home.
So the same thing is true of these states. If I find myself returning to a state, it feels comfortable, it feels easy, well, then that’s my home, my spiritual home for a moment. I can remain in it as I remain in the apartment. I’ve been here for six years, I don’t like moving around, but I may come back and close it up. But until I come back it remains open, that is, open to me when I return, so that constitutes my home here in the world of Caesar. So what constitutes my home in these wonderful eternal states?—the state to which I most constantly return."
Creation, faith - 1968
" Contemplate this thought. On this level you may achieve any objective, and prove to yourself that invisible states, when properly rearranged, will externalize what they imply, for the potency of every imaginal act is in its implication.
Listen closely to your invisible thoughts. What do you hear? What are your words implying? That is their potency. What do you want? Name it and rearrange the structure of your mind to imply you no longer desire it, because you already have it!"
Esau and Jacob - 1959
"What is the technique? In my 21st year when I meditated I became identified with the bliss I contemplated as a sea of golden liquid light. Then I understood. Absorption! That was the secret. If I became completely identified with a state . . and named it . . to the degree that I became absorbed . . it worked. What became absorbed? Not the garment . . Esau. It was Jacob, which is all Imagining. Jacob had to be separated from Esau. “Two nations are in your womb, and two peoples, born of you, shall be divided; the one shall be stronger than the other; the elder shall serve the younger.”"
Affirm the reality of our own greatness - 1951 radio lecture
"Every great out picturing is preceded by a period of profound absorption. When that absorption is filled with our highest ideal, . . when we become that ideal . . then we see it manifest in our world and we realize that the present does not recede into the past, but advances into the future."
"Man does not realize that the desire for freedom contains within itself the power and the means to fulfill itself. Because of his lack of faith, man distorts these gifts from God. He does not realize that God, the wisdom and power within him, has ways that he, as man, knows not of and those ways are past finding out.
Learn to be grateful for the desires you have been given. They already exist and are ready for embodiment in your world. You are not called upon to do anything to aid their realization except to free your mind of any doubt as to how they will come about and completely accept them as you would a gift from a loved one."
Imagination creates reality - unknown date
"If I could only go all out and believe in the reality of my imaginal act and not look back. Just go all out, and believe that things are as I desire them to be. But don’t look down now to my understanding to see if it is really happening, like pulling up the little seed to see if it is taking root. Really believe that it is going to take root and in its own way it unfolds within itself and grows. But don’t pull it up; walk right out in the belief that things are as I desire them to be, even though at the very moment it seems darker than ever. And if I do that, that is what Blake did." - Blake on religion 1963

"What’s wrong with that? Is there anything wrong in being happily married, proud of the girl who bears your name, or she proud of the man whose name she bears? What is wrong with that?.
Forget that. The whole vast world is a field to reap. You don’t pick out this woman or that woman. Pick out the state. I want to be blissfully happy, and if I were, how would I see the world? And how would the world see me?"
States
Eternal states - 1968
So what constitutes my home in these wonderful eternal states?—the state to which I most constantly return.
So do I find myself returning, say, to the state of love, the state of teaching, the state of affluence, or the state of feeling sorry for myself? There are those who actually all day long they delight in feeling sorry for themselves. They go out on a job knowing they aren’t going to be liked, they know it. So when they are not liked they wonder what’s wrong with the people round about me? They’re only reflecting that constant state that I have been occupying. If I don’t get out of that state, no matter where I go in this world I can’t find anything other than what I found when I left the so-called physical thing behind me. I can go from here to the ends of the earth, but I carry the state. I don’t leave a state here; these states are ever present. Right standing here, I can throw myself into two dozen states in the twinkle of an eye, one after the other. By entertaining a thought, occupying it and feeling it I’m in the state. But if I’m doing it just to experiment, all well and good. If I don’t know and I put myself into a state and remain in it, I’m going to bear its fruit. I am that germ that enters the state as a little germ enters the egg, and I fructify it, and then it has to bear its fruit.
So here we have infinite states. You can select the state you want. Your age hasn’t a thing to do with it, your background hasn’t a thing to do with it; you’re only occupying a state. You will bear the most glorious fruit if it’s a lovely state. But even then you don’t own the thing, you’re simply creating them, pushing them out. They’re all yours because you’re in the state; when you leave the state they’re gone. If I said say to Rose, Billy Rose, if I asked him just before he died if he was conscious, “I’ve just seen a hundred and seventy thousand shares of A.T.&T. and they are all marked with your name, who owns them?” he would have said to me, “They’re mine, they’re my 170,000 shares.” Ask him the same question today, did he ever own them? While he was in the state he had it all, but he left it behind him, didn’t take it with him, his $25 million. But he was in a state in the world of Caesar that could grow $25 million. But you and I don’t own anything; we simply are in states.
While we are here we can enjoy the state. So all you do is simply occupy the state. Tonight when you go to bed see that you’re in the right state. For you have the unbroken hours of sleep, where before you go into the deep, to occupy the right state. You fructify it in that interval…because in the course of a day you are diverted so often from one state to another. But you can always tell the home you live in as far as states are concerned by the frequency of occupancy. How often do you go back to it? Do you feel comfortable when you are in it? Well then, that’s the state."
Doubt and fear
I AM the Lord - 1969
"Our world is the storm spoken of in the 8th chapter of Luke. Having entered our body, we have fallen asleep to our creative power. But when we discipline our mind, we quell the storms. The disciples of scripture are disciplined aspects of the mind. Once your five senses are so disciplined you see, hear, taste, touch, and smell, only what you desire, then you quell the storms of doubt and fear within you, for you know who you are. No longer will you seek the phenomena of life among your kinsfolk or acquaintances; for when you awaken, you find life in the temple. The world is always looking for new teachers on the outside, when there is nothing there but shadows. Christ is not another. You are Christ, as he is your very self! You will find him, and when you do, you will know that you are God; for a series of events will unfold within you and you will bear witness to your own fatherhood."

"Moses represented the pattern man."
"The story of Jesus, the pattern man"
"So I congratulate him on his accomplishments. For everyone who is awakened if they are of that spirit, they are members of the stable of the Lord, used for impregnation, to inseminate the brides of God. For he’s God. Everyone in this world is God. But as the lady wrote, she said, “I wrote this letter. I don’t quite understand it but I wrote and I was repeating, the thing is we are bifurcated, divided beings.” Well, who is the divided being but the Lord Himself. The Lord and his emanation, a divided being. And out of Adam comes Eve, a divided being. And that emanation of the first.
Well, here we are emanations. But now these contain the pattern of God’s plan of salvation. And it has to be, I would say fructified, fertilized. And, may I tell you, it seems strange in this world to make these statements, but I know from experience that they’re true. I know how we play these parts after we have been awakened from the dream of life. When man is twice born, and he’s born from above, if he’s of that school, that spirit, that you reenter like a serpent. If you go up in this small little way like this, that’s not it. But when you go up as though you are a bolt of spiral lightening and you vibrate the entire skull and you’re still vibrating it trying to get out, and finally you subside. That’s the power it can use. And that’s the one He uses in the fertilization of his bride."
A lesson in scripture - 1967
"We are told: “This Word is truth.” Everyone enters the world to fulfill the truth and will not depart until God’s Word is accomplished. If God’s Word has not been fulfilled in you when the world calls you dead, you are restored to a life just as real as this, in a world just as real as this, to continue your journey until the hunger comes upon you and you will be drawn to that final point."
A divine event - 1969
"These bodies of flesh and blood are only garments God wears. Even though they are consumed in a furnace (called cremation), the bodies are restored for others to occupy. The world is restored, but you . . the actor in the drama . . move up until you finally awake, and that is what we call Christmas."
"Those who have not had the experience before they depart this world are restored to life to find themselves in a world just like this. They will be faced with all the problems they have neglected here. They may leave the garment of a billionaire to find themselves a shoeshine boy or one who cleans latrines, if that is what must be done to rouse them to believe the incredible story."
A movement within God - 1967
So when I say: “God became Man that Man may become God” I mean: “Imagination became you that you may become all Imagination."
If you move from where you are to where you would like to be, you could detect that motion only by a change of position relative to another object. Motion in itself cannot be done without some frame of reference from which it moves. If your income had just been increased to say $30,000 a year from your present income of less than $10,000, how would you feel? How would your present circle of friends see you? Would they know it? Would they discuss it? Would they speak of the change in your life? Tell them, and then eavesdrop and hear your friends discuss you as one who is now making $30,000 a year. That’s a motion in God and that movement will produce results! Everything in this world is nothing more than the result of a movement in God, which is a motion in your wonderful imagination. The slightest imaginal act that is a change (I don’t mean just an act, for you can imagine things you don’t believe), but if you imagine something you believe is a change, a thrill is sent through divine being. At that moment you have actually entered another state and made it alive and real in your world!
A Parabolic Revelation - 1969
"It is in you as a person that the nature of God is revealed, for a scriptural episode is not a record of an historical event, but a parabolic revelation of truth. To see Jesus or David as an historical character is to see truth tempered to the weakness of your soul. You must see what the characters represent, rather than the characters themselves. This is true for every story in scripture, for every episode will unfold within you.
The title of the 54th Psalm is translated as “David is hiding with us” in the King James Version, and “David is in hiding among us” in the Revised Standard Version; but the title should read: “David is in hiding within us,” for that is where he is, as well as every character in scripture. When I say, with Blake: “All that you behold, though it appears without it is within, in your Imagination of which this world of mortality is but a shadow,” I mean that literally, for the drama of life unfolds from within.
The characters Jesus, David, Abraham, and Moses are but personifications of eternal states, which you individually will encounter as you move towards the ultimate awakening of being God himself. In his poem, “Saul” Robert Browning tells the story recorded in the 16th chapter of the Book of First Samuel, of how David cured Saul of the evil spirits which the Lord had sent upon him."
"Now, the word “Judah” means, “to praise with extended arms.” It was Judah who embraced and kissed me, he severed my sleeve revealing the arm of the Lord, thus fulfilling scripture. “And who has believed our report? To whom has the arm of the Lord been revealed?” The arm is the symbol of the creative power of God. That is what was revealed in its beautiful imagery. Here was a handsome man, about forty, gloriously dressed, fulfilling everything scripture said he would do when he comes. Believe my words, for they are true. Let everything you formerly believed in go . . but do not let the word of truth go."
"The word “Christ” means the “the messiah.” Standing before Saul, David tells of the coming of the messiah, saying: “His face will be like my face. He will be a man like me. You are going to love the messiah and he will love you forever.” This relationship between you and David is one of infinite love and it is forever. Here David is telling Saul that he is the messiah, for he is the Christ, the anointed of the Lord. Then he said: “A hand just like this hand will open the door of a new life to you.” And standing before him, he says: “See the Christ stand” . . but Saul could not understand."
"One day you will experience the state of Abraham and know what faith really is. When you see that giant of a man leaning against a tree, you will see a serpent wound around its trunk. The serpent will have a human face with the wisest expression. (In Genesis the serpent is recorded as the wisest of all of God’s creatures.) And you will see Abraham’s eyes are looking into time, as recorded in the Book of Galatians: “The scripture, foreseeing that God would justify all by faith, preached the gospel beforehand to Abraham.” So, before the events took place Abraham was shown the end, and when you look at him his attention is focused, not on the distance of space, but of time. And the tree under which he stands looks like the human brain. When you see Abraham you will know you are seeing the beginning of the journey. Wisdom is present in the form of a serpent and faith is present in the form of Abraham. His name is changed from Abram . . which means “exalted Father” to Abraham . . which means “father of the multitude.” The change occurred when the letter “He” was added. This letter carries the symbol of grace. So grace was put into the name to indicate that God had given himself to his creation (the work of his hand.) Putting the gift of grace into the name of the father of the multitudes, the journey begins.
So, when you read scripture try to bear in mind that you are reading about infinite states of consciousness, which are eternal. Remember you are Jesus, and when you find the Christ you have found the Lord’s anointed, who is David. You will know him for he will come to you in the spirit and call you Father. How then can you be his son? Because the words Father/son are interchangeable. “I and my Father are one. He who sees me (the son) sees the Father.” Always keep this in mind when reading scripture."
"If it is a true awakening, and not just a fore-shadowing, the drama called Jesus Christ will unfold in 1,260 days, as foretold in scripture. Do not be discouraged if your visions are foreshadowing’s . . the promise will be fulfilled, for you are keeping the vision in time of trouble. At times, like Peter you may have denied that you are God, but you are still keeping the divine vision.
I fell in love with being Neville, as you fell in love with the being you are now. You have dreamed poverty into being, health, being loved, being ignored, but you have never lost your vision of individuality You will never lose it, for that is the one you fell in love with. And in the end you will awaken as God, individualized. You will know yourself to be a life-giving spirit as you move towards ever greater and greater individualization. That is the purpose of the entire drama, and that is what Christmas means."
A riddle - 1969
"To be baptized is to be completely covered with fluid. It doesn’t mean water, because the Messiah is Christ and the Messiah is the placenta, one who is anointed with oil. What the pope does here hasn’t a thing to do with it. There is a living fluid, living water you break through to merge with, just as a drop of water merges with the ocean; yet your identity or individuality is never lost.
All are One and all will be baptized into that One. All will put on the Lord, which simply means to live as, to move into the garment and flow with it. The last words of Christ in the Book of Luke are: “Remain in the city until you are imbued with power from on high.” Power is Christ; wisdom is Christ, and to imbue is to clothe. In other words, wait until I have clothed you with myself, and on that day you will literally say: “I AM in Christ and Christ is in me.”"
A state called Moses - 1968
"Now, an Israelite is not a descendant of Abraham after the flesh, but the elect of God of any nation. Whether you be a Jew, Christian, or Mohammedan, Moses . . the future of Israel in germinal form . . is buried in you. And the word “Israel” means to rule as God."
"Containing God’s plan of salvation, Moses reveals the pattern which . . when it unfolds . . saves man. The word Jesus means, “Jehovah saves”. When God’s pattern unfolds, God has saved himself. Like a seed which disappears as it becomes what it contained, the pattern unfolds into the tree of life to become one with God, the Father of the seed. Take my message to heart and dwell upon it. Set your mind fully upon this hope that God’s pattern of salvation will erupt in you while you are in this sphere. It must erupt for you to leave this world of sin and death and enter eternity. There you will be a king within yourself, creating . . not by reason, but by the life you know to be yourself. There you will no longer be an animated body; but as a life-giving spirit, you are God Himself."
All are human - 1964
"So when Blake uses the word “bosom” he means Imagination, which he reveals in that wonderful statement, another passage in Jerusalem, that “we are ever expanding in the bosom of God, the Human Imagination” (Ch.1,Plt.5). So he calls the bosom of God “Divine Imagination,” and we are expanding in Divine Imagination. What’s expanding?—the human Imagination. And they do not differ save in degree of intensity, but not in substance, not in character. They operate in the same way, one is keyed low and one is keyed high. Keyed high, an imaginal act is an immediate objective fact; keyed low as we are, it’s then realized in a time process. It takes time between the imaginal act and its externalization in the world. But it’s still one, operating the entire world."
Creative moments - 1965
"Now, are all these stories true in scripture? I tell you, they are true. Listen to this one, taken from the 2nd chapter of Hebrews, “For he who sanctifies and those who are sanctified have all one origin” (verse 11). The one who sanctifies and those who are sanctified have all one origin, all one. Then he asks a question…but first he makes a statement and then he asks a question, and the statement is this, “He was not ashamed to call them brethren” (verse 13). Then he quotes from scripture the 22nd Psalm to support his argument, the 22nd Psalm, the 22nd verse, “That I will declare and proclaim thy name to my brethren.” Then he quotes again from the 8th of Isaiah, “Here am I and the children God gave me” (verse 18). If you turn to the 8th of Isaiah and read the entire passage, it’s fascinating. The children are called signs and portents of the Lord of hosts, who dwells on Mount Zion. I have at least forty Bibles at home, many commentaries, exegeses, all kinds of books dwelling on the Bible, and many written by brilliant, brilliant scholars. They come to this passage and they all agree the words of “the two children” mentioned in the 8th of Isaiah are unknown. They cannot find the roots of these words. They try to arrive at them based upon the text itself. Some come to the conclusion the first child mentioned means “a remnant shall return”; and the second child mentioned is simply “the spoil, or spoiling Judas’ enemy.” That’s all they can arrive at; they do not know what the words are. But we are told, if you read it correctly, no one believed Isaiah, and so he sealed the script as Daniel did. He sealed it until that moment in time when the seal would be broken, at God’s appointed hour; then one could read it with understanding."
"How can I take these two children? Who are the two children in this case? I can tell you from my own experience. He said they are signs and portents; they aren’t children like my two children. I have two children, a boy and girl. They were born as you were born and I was born normally from the womb of a woman. These children are not born from the womb of a woman; they are signs and portents of something taking place in us, individually. The first one, which is called “a remnant shall return,” it doesn’t mean that at all. It is simply the little infant that you find when you are born from above and called Son of God. You find yourself being born from above, and the symbol of your birth is a little child wrapped in swaddling clothes. That’s the first one—“I and the children that God gave me”—-the first one. It’s a sign, a portent, of my own birth from above. Then comes the second, and the second also…but he’s a youth…it is David of Biblical fame. That’s my sign of the discovery of my own fatherhood that is God. God reveals himself to man as Father through giving to that man the one mentioned in scripture as his only begotten Son: “Thou art my Son, today I have begotten thee” (Ps. 2:7). That’s meant and said to David. So David comes suddenly before you, out of your own skull, and there you stand and you see him."
"So here tonight, if you know anyone in your world who desires…and it comes within your code of decency…if they want you to kill someone, you don’t do it! If they want you to rob a bank, don’t do it! It doesn’t come within your code of decency. But no matter what they want, it goes way beyond their capacity at the moment, judging from appearances, to realize it, you grant it. You simply put on their little form, and simply move towards the fulfillment of what they want, feeling all the time that you, as the little one called John, called Mary, called by any name, that you have it. And feel the emotion of success, the emotion that would accompany that claim. And then drop it, and return to your former state called by your present name. You’ve done it!
My friend said to me, “You know, I found it the easiest thing in the world to do. I took all of my relatives, I took my associates, and it was so easy to do it.” I do hope that everyone who was here last Tuesday tried it. If you tried it, you should have success now. I do not know what you did, but I hope you did it. Because this thing works! It’s a simple, simple technique. You simply assume that you are the one that you would help until you feel that you are wearing that form; even if it’s a female and you’re a man, or if it’s a male and you are a female, it doesn’t really matter. In the interval, I’ve taken my wife, I’ve taken my daughter, I’ve taken other sexes, and it didn’t seem strange to wear it. I wore them and I took them towards the fulfillment of what I would give them, and then dropped it."
"The whole vast world here is only God and God unfolding. This is the great tree of life that is God. All these are buds within the great tree that is God, and at moments in time they unfold."
"So when he is asked in scripture to name the greatest of all the commandments, he doesn’t name any of the ten; but he summarizes the ten in one taken from Deuteronomy, and there are ten words, for that’s what it really means biblically. The Ten Commandments literally means ten words: “Hear, O Israel: The Lord our God is one Lord”…ten words (Deut. 6:4). Not two Gods; no room for two, only one. So he became the seeming many, and he has set up within the unnumbered fragmented parts of himself a means by which it will awaken to discover it is still that one: So he sets up his own Son."
"So I ask everyone here to try it and try it tonight. Of a friend that isn’t well, try it. Try it with a dozen ___(??). May I tell you, it’s such a wonderful feeling! You get into a nice quiet mood and feel one character after the other, and you become the wonderful actor. For that’s what an actor does; he has to feel, to some extent, the naturalness of the part that he’s going to play. We’re told in the works of Blake, “God only acts and is in existing beings or men.” He’s only an actor. Well, your consciousness only acts, but it acts through this frame called Jesus Christ which is your own wonderful human Imagination. Without Imagination, you couldn’t throw yourself into any character. But you can throw yourself with Imagination into any character and feel the naturalness of that character. So feel tonight you are a successful man. Well, who would share it with you were it true? Well, then your wife, your daughter, your friends, alright. You can take either part of yourself or just take the part of a friend who would sincerely rejoice because you are… and then have you as the friend congratulate you, standing in front of a friend, concerning this. Try it in that manner…try anything…and then see how it works."
"So when this was revealed a week ago tonight we shared it with those who were present, and many have received results. But I want everyone to receive results, not just one. But keep on building it up more and more. I know my friend who told it to me also gave me a wonderful one that he did. He received a horrible blow. His director who had been directing his shows for, well, years now, he went to the studio to discover that the man had a stroke. It paralyzed one side, found it difficult to speak, and had lost ten years of his memory. He knew no one that he had met in the last ten years. He was now planning the shows that he was going to do and they are already done. So he took this technique and got into the friend’s body, and simply revised the whole picture. Went to the studio and they told him that he is recovering rapidly in the use of the arm, his memory has returned, he hasn’t forgotten this interval of ten years, and he’s rapidly coming back to the norm. No one gave any hope for this man, but he (the friend) received it like a blow, a physical blow when he heard it. And after something very unpleasant happened to him because of his acceptance of that as a blow, he then turned to the application of this principle and applied it toward his friend’s recovery. He hasn’t written it out for me in detail as yet, but he told me the last time we were here, which was last week, Friday night, that it will be a wonderful story when he gets down the details of it."
"Q: Neville, may I add some more, a bit about the apartment?
A: Certainly, David.
Q: First of all, thank you for the promotion. I’m only an assistant professor, but you made me an associate. I’d like to add this because I think perhaps it might help other people, it may be useful. When Neville told me the apartment was sold, intellectually I believed him, but I have always been rather a lone wolf and by myself, and I have a tendency to be word-oriented. My problem is even though I believe something like Neville saying it’s done on a mental level, one still has one’s own inner conversations…you battle. So at the beginning of last week when I was confronted with this rather negative attitude with everybody concerned, I remembered something that I read in one of the ___(??) of Virgil. I thought that this was a good thought: Virgil said that you have to remember yourself continually. I think it’s very useful if we can remember that we are an “I am” playing a part. So I realized that what I had to do in order to ___(??) was to get my own negativeness out of the way, because I could so easily have neutralized the whole thing by dwelling on inner conversations which where built on fear. I know very well had I done this that which I feared would certainly have come upon me.
So I found that for me the thing that I did was to fill every single moment of the time that I was conscious with a conscious guiding of my own thought pattern in ways that would not be negative; in other words, even at the expense of repeating phrases such as “my Father and I are one” over and over and over. This was very helpful to me, because it isn’t a vain lip service or pleading. You’re not really asking for anything but affirming something. The mind can never think of two things at once, it can only think of one thing. If you guide it by the hand, not force it, but if you guide it, you think of something which you are consciously putting ___(??), it will dwell on that, it will not dwell on anything else. I find that when I find myself ___(??), I stop, I say I am aware that is what I’m doing, I will not accept it, and I start right in again. Fortunately, Neville has allowed me to record a lot of the lectures, and I tell you, I’ve sat in that apartment house and I wore out several sets of batteries playing them over and over and over, and thinking of specific lines. I think that perhaps this might help others in order to fill the time gap which we are subjected to on this level. You have to fill it with something, so you might as well fill it consciously with something of a positive nature. I have found this was the greatest help to me, simply to guide the mind by the hand.
A: Thank you very much, David."

Affirm The Reality Of Your Own Greatness
Radio Talk 9, Station KECA, Los Angeles July, 1951
In the creation of a new way of life, we must begin at the beginning, with our own individual regeneration.
The formation of organizations, political bodies, religious bodies, social bodies is not enough. The trouble we see goes deeper than we perceive. The essential revolution must happen within ourselves.
Everything depends on our attitude towards ourselves. That which we will not affirm within ourselves can never develop in our world.
This is the religion by which we live, for religion begins in subjective experience, like charity, it begins at home.
“Be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind” is the ancient formula and there is no other.
Everything depends upon man’s attitude toward himself. That which he cannot or will not claim as true of himself can never evolve in his world.
Man is constantly looking about his world and asking, “What’s to be done?
What will happen?” when he should ask himself “Who am I? What is my concept of myself?”
If we wish to see the world a finer, greater place, we must affirm the reality of a finer, greater being within ourselves.
It is the ultimate purpose of my teaching to point the road to this consummation. I am trying to show you how the inner man must readjust himself . . what must be the new premise of his life, in order that he may lose his soul on the level he now knows and find it again on the high level he seeks.
It is impossible for man to see other than the contents of his own consciousness, for nothing has existence for us save through the consciousness we have of it.
The ideal man is always seeking a new incarnation but unless we, ourselves, offer him human parentage, he is incapable of birth.
We are the means whereby the redemption of nature from the law of cruelty is to be effected.
The great purpose of consciousness is to effect this redemption.
If we decline the burden and point to natural law as giving us conclusive proof that redemption of the world by imaginative love is something that can never come about, we simply nullify the purpose of our lives through want of faith. We reject the means, the only means, whereby this process of redemption must be effected.
The only test of religion worth making is whether it is trueborn . . whether it springs from the deepest conviction of the individual, whether it is the fruit of inner experience.
No religion is worthy of a man unless it gives him a deep and abiding sense that all is well, quite irrespective of what happens to him personally.
The methods of mental and of spiritual knowledge are entirely different, for we know a thing mentally by looking at it from the outside, by comparing it with other things by analyzing and defining it.
Whitehead has defined religion as that which a man does with his solitude.
I should like to add, I believe it is what a man is in his solitude.
In our solitude we are driven to subjective experience. It is, then, that we should imagine ourselves to be the ideal man we desire to see embodied in the world. If, in our solitude, we experience in our imagination what we would experience in reality had we achieved our goal, we will in time, become transformed into the image of our ideal.
“Be renewed in the spirit of your mind, put on the new man, speak every man truth with his neighbor.”
The process of making a
“Fact of being, a fact of consciousness”
is by the
“renewing of our mind.”
We are told to change our thinking. But we can’t change our thought unless we change our ideas. Our thoughts are the natural outpouring of our ideas, and our innermost ideas are the man himself.
The end of longing is always to be, not to do.
“Be still and know”
“I AM that which I desire.”
Strive always after being. External reforms are useless if your heart is not reformed.
Heaven is entered not by curbing our passions; but rather, by cultivating our virtues. An old idea is not fickly forgotten, it is crowded out by new ideas. It disappears when a wholly new and absorbing idea occupies our attention. Old habits of thinking and feeling . . like dead oak leaves . . hang on till they are pushed off by new ones.
Creativeness is basically a deeper receptiveness, a keener susceptibility. The future dream must become a present fact in the mind of anyone who would alter his life.
Every great out picturing is preceded by a period of profound absorption. When that absorption is filled with our highest ideal, . . when we become that ideal . . then we see it manifest in our world and we realize that the present does not recede into the past, but advances into the future.
This is essentially how we change our future. A “now” which is “elsewhere” has for us no absolute meaning. We only recognize “now” when it is at the same time “here.” When we feel ourselves into the desired state “here” and “now” we have truly changed our future.
It is this “Changing Your Future” which I hope to explain to you fully next Sunday morning when I am speaking for Dr. Bailes at 10:30 at the Fox Wilshire Theater on Wilshire Boulevard near La Cienega. It is my purpose to stir you to a higher concept of yourself and to explain so clearly the method by which you can achieve this concept that each one of you will leave the service on Sunday morning a transformed being.
Discouraged people are sorely in need of the inspiration of great principles.
We must get back to first principles if we are to speak with a voice that will kindle the imagination and rouse the spirit. Again, I must repeat, in the creation of a new way of life, we must begin at the very beginning with our own individual regeneration.
Man’s chief delusion is his conviction that he can do anything.
Everyone thinks he can do, everyone wants to do and all ask, “What to do?” What to do?
It is impossible to do anything. One must be. It is hard for us to accept the fact that
“We, of ourselves, do nothing.”
It is especially difficult because it is the truth and the truth is always difficult for man to accept.
But, actually, nobody can do anything. Everything happens, all that befalls man, all that is done by him, all that comes from him, all this happens, and it happens in exactly the same way that rain falls . . as a result of a change in the temperature in the higher regions of the atmosphere.
This is a challenge to us all. What concept are we holding of ourselves in the higher regions of our soul?
Everything depends upon man’s attitude towards himself. That which he will not affirm as true within himself can never develop in his world. A change of concept of self is the right adjustment, the new relationship between the surface and the depth of man.
Deepening is, in principle, always possible, for the ultimate depth lives in everyone, and it is only a question of becoming conscious of it. Life demands of us the willingness to die and to be born again.
This is not meant that we die in the flesh. We die in the spirit of the old man to become the new man, then we see the new man in the flesh.
“Subjection to the will of God”
is an old phrase for it and there is, I believe, no new one that is better. In that self-committal to the ideal we desire to express, all conflict is dispersed and we are transformed into the image of the ideal in whom we rest.
We are told that the man without a wedding garment reaches the Kingdom by cleverly pretending. He does not believe internally what he practices externally. He appears good, kind, charitable. He uses the right words, but inwardly he believes nothing. Coming into the strong light of those far more conscious than himself, he ceases to deceive.
A wedding garment signifies a desire for union. He has no desire to unite with what he teaches, even if what he teaches is the truth.
Therefore, he has no wedding garment. When we are united with the truth, then we will put off the old nature and be renewed in the spirit of our mind.
Truth will strip the clever pretenders of their false aristocracy.
Truth, in its turn, will be conquered and governed by the aristocracy of goodness, the only unconquerable thing in the world.
Let us go into the Silence.
Many mansions - Neville Goddard lecture - 1969
"So here, what are these "mansions" spoken of? They are states. All states are eternal, and they exist now. All states exist in the human Imagination, and the human Imagination is the Lord Jesus Christ. That’s God. There is no other God. And all things exist in him now!
We have to make the adjustment: think of an infinite number of states . . anything you can think of . . it exists now. Man passes through states, like a traveler who passes through places, through cities. Well, the man who is passing through a state, like the traveler who is passing through a place, may suppose that the place that he has passed through exists no more, as a man passing through a state thinks the state through which he has passed exists no more. Wouldn’t it be silly when I leave this city to feel that because I have departed, that the city has ceased to exist? They remain for anyone to enter, and when they are in it, it seems to be the only reality and everything else in the world seems a mere shadow. When you enter into a city or a state, that state seems to be the only substance. Every state in the world exists now."
"And God is our own wonderful, human Imagination. So whatever takes place is simply movement within God. How does He now move? That’s the secret: how to go into these states and make them real, make them alive in our world. It’s a very simple process . . very simple . . but you and I have to act to do it. It won’t do it itself; we have to do it. When we move into the state and clothe ourselves with the state, the state then takes on an external tone and becomes objective to our sight, as this room is now objective because we’re in it. All these states are just as real as this room once we occupy them. So, “in my Father’s house are many mansions,” numberless mansions. “Were it not so, would I have told you that I go to prepare a place for you? And when I go. I will come again and receive you to myself, that where I am, there ye shall be also.” (John 14: 2, 3)
As I stand here, my adjustment is only in my Imagination. I don’t walk into the place . . I don’t travel into it. I simply adjust it here: close my eyes to the obvious, and then assume that it is here and clothe myself with the reality of the state of my selection. Now, I open my eyes upon this room and this room denies the reality of what I’ve done in my Imagination. But wait . . just wait! I can’t forget it and I can’t rub it out. It will take the place of this. But why don’t I remember it? Every natural effect in this world has a spiritual cause, and not a natural. A natural cause only seems; it is a delusion of the perishing vegetable memory. Man’s memory fades, and when he’s confronted with his own harvest he doesn’t recognize his harvest. He denies that at any moment in time did he entertain vividly, with emotion, such things that are happening in his world, because his memory fades and he doesn’t remember. So, he questions the law (if he ever heard of it). He questions: “How could this thing happen to me?” (Haven’t you heard that time and again?) Or have your heard the statement: “Why should it happen to him? He is so nice. He is an altogether wonderful chap. Why should it happen to him?”
Here’s a question, just before I left L.A. “Why should these things happen to Dad and to Mother? Certainly you know, above all people, they don’t deserve it.” It’s not a matter of deserving. These are states. At one moment in time they entertained this with feeling, with intense feeling, and then these things happen. And they might have passed judgment on one who had a similar condition, and relate the condition to some unlovely thing they know of that person and think God was getting even. Yet, they are ardent churchgoers, members of the church. One is on the altar guild; the other is a trustee of the church. He’s a banker by profession. They really devote themselves to the service of the church. Well, what has that to do with one entertaining these emotions with feeling, intense feeling, and then forgetting it, not knowing that the effect (when it takes place . . and it is a natural and a real effect) that it is related to a spiritual cause, and the spiritual cause is nothing more than a motion within themselves. Within themselves they move, and having moved, they are going to project that state into which they fell, either wisely or unwisely. And when it comes into the world for recognition they don’t recognize their own harvest. But there is no other way that it could come into the world. So, “The Spirit of God moved…” and then the whole vast world began to appear. He moved. Now, motion can be detected only by a change of position relative to another object. If this very moment we were hurtled into space, all in the same motion, I wouldn’t know, and you wouldn’t know, that we were moving. I can only detect motion if I can observe a motion relative to an object that seems to be stationary relative to me. And so, I must have a frame of reference against which I move. So, the frame of reference: I stand here . . I have a frame of reference. I have friends who know (or think they know) where I stand in the world. They think they know what I stand for, how I live, and that’s what they believe. Well, in my mind’s eye I see that frame of reference, and then I let them see me differently. I didn’t go anyplace . . I allowed them to see me differently. Well, if they see me differently then I must have moved. So in my mind’s eye I construct a scene implying the fulfillment of my dream, and then as I see it, I accept it as true and believe that they accept it as true of me. So I change it. If I change it within myself and use that frame of reference, and the same reveals a change in me, well then, I have moved. That is the secret of all creation in the world: “And the Spirit of God moved.” And the minute He moved, things appeared. “Let there be light.”
Let everything now that this is implying appear in my world, for the potency is in its implication. Well, what does it imply . . this motion? Well, it implies that they now see in me what I would like them to see. As they see me in that light, I am actually saying (without the use of words): “Let there be light on it now. Let it come into the world that the whole world may see it.” See what? See the motion that I produced within myself. For when we are told: “The Spirit of God moved,” that’s no more than your own wonderful human Imagination moving relative to a frame of reference, and so you move."
Infinite states - Neville Goddard lecture - 1968
"The being that you really are, descended to the weakness of the flesh, causing you to experience the state you are now in. Contemplate another state, and the same being who brought your present form into being will restore and make alive the other state, the state desired. This he will continue to do until his purpose is fulfilled. That purpose is to follow a certain pattern back into the unity of being. You see, in the beginning we were drafted. We did not volunteer to fall into these states. We were made subject into futility, not willingly but by the will of him who sent us. But when we return we will discover that we are the very being who subjected us. We are now the sons, destined to return as God the Father!"
"When you see this being in the depth of your soul you are seeing the one who descended into these states, meditating himself. You are his emanation, his reflection playing the parts he dreams. And when he awakes from his descent and begins to ascend, you are He! No two seeds of contemplative thought in the depths of the soul are identical. We are all brothers, and having been subjected, when we return to unity we are God the Father. Now you see who the word ‘David’ means . . ‘the father’s brother’. God the Father is my brother, who one day will rise and, taking me back to the unity of being, he will call me Father. That is David! That is the play! That is the mystery of life!"
"There are infinite states and combinations of states into which God, your own wonderful human imagination, falls. Fortunately there is a limit, which comes when infinite mercy (who is within you) steps beyond and awakens himself; and as he does, you . . the one he put through the torment . . awaken, enhanced by the descent into these states. And as one you return, bringing your gifts which are the result of your experiences traveling through these states. You bring your talents, of which the greatest is the art of forgiveness, the ability to enter into and partake of the opposite. When you see someone in despair can you represent him to yourself as he would like to be seen? And can you persuade yourself that what you see is real? To the degree that you are self-persuaded he will become that man. Then you will have conquered by forgiveness! You will have taken him out of one state and placed him in another."
You are a cosmic being - Neville Goddard lecture - 1969
Those who have $50 million are only interested in increasing their wealth to $100 million; and, although they may be eighty when they hear your story, it will not interest them, as they will still want more of what they must leave behind when they depart this world, as they won’t be able to take it with them, as you know. They will make a world like this, only devoid of what they had built up here, and cast themselves in a role best suited for the work yet to be done in them by the son of God who is wearing that garment. He may zap him from the role of a millionaire and place him in the role of a shoe-shine boy or one who cleans latrines, if that is necessary for the work yet to be done in him.
The smile - Neville Goddard lecture - 1965
(This is NG proving that you must birth the Christ Child through inner alchemy expansion of the subconscious mind. So he must've been initiated in this)
"We have to go back now to John…we started with Blake and we went to Luke…we go to John, it’s the 1st chapter of John: “No one has ever seen God; but the only begotten Son, in the bosom of the Father, he has made him known” (verse 18). There are many translations of this text, but the most ancient of the script speaks of “the only begotten Son,” something that is not born, something that is begotten.
To beget is of the Father. There are two ways in which we can consider birth, either from the side of the father, in which the verb is “to beget”; or we can consider it from the side of the mother, in which the verb is “to bear.” In this case John uses the verb “to beget” which is from the Father, and so, it’s a begotten Son. That no one knows the Father, no one has ever seen God, but the only begotten Son who is in the bosom of the Father he has made him known.
And so, from the beginning, when Christ appears in man, you hold him. Then man who is all Imagination begins to expand. Can’t stop it…he’s reached the limit of contraction, the child is born and he begins to expand. As he begins to expand, the next expansion is a complete explosion and here stands the begotten. It isn’t born, it’s a begotten son. So I search all over the scriptures and there is only one place I can find any son that was begotten:
And here, in the 2nd chapter, the 7th verse of Psalms, you see the words “And he said to me, ‘You are my son, this day I have begotten you.’” “I begot you”…how did I beget you? In the same way that fame begets envy. I reach a certain degree of expansion and automatically at that moment of expansion, then I beget. It’s automatic, just as one becomes famous in this world and envy rises in the world. So fame begets envy."
"For if I am told in scripture, “Do you not realize that Jesus Christ is in you?” then I must be Mary…for Jesus Christ contains…or, rather, Mary contains Jesus Christ. But she doesn’t understand how it happened. When did it happen? When did he overshadow me? When did he superimpose himself upon me and left his imprint that I had then to develop within me and bring forth as a child? I don’t remember. And no one really remembers, but were it not for that imprint no one would be alive.
So God impregnated you, individually, with his own impression, his own image…and that is Jesus Christ. And the day will come, you will actually give birth to Jesus Christ, and he’s always a little child. Don’t think of him as any great big man; you are the being. It’s always the little child wrapped in swaddling clothes and you are holding. And when you hold him and look into his face you will say whatever you will say in some sweet, wonderful, endearing manner…and a smile you’ve never known before."
"Q: (inaudible)
A: ___(??) and you can ask for anything in this world, may I tell you, before the child is born because he’s in you and he is the creative power of God. You can ask anything in this world and get it, because it’s the same Christ. Before you see him and hold him in your hands as a child, may I tell you, it’s the same power of God. It’s that creative power of God that in a way unknown to the world it permeated the ancient man—just as a sperm unknown to our scientists goes through the surface of the egg; and yet the outside of the egg has no holes before or after fertilization.
So the same thing happens with man and the sperm of God goes through man; and the sperm of God is Jesus Christ, his creative power. It enters man and it forms itself in man, like a child forms in a woman; and when it’s completed it comes out, just like that. So that’s the limit of your contraction and the beginning of your expansion. So that same power is better before it’s born. So before it is born, you can use it right now by assuming that you are now the man, the woman that you want to be. And if you dare to believe in the reality of your assumption, may I tell you, that power will externalize it."
"Q: (inaudible)
A: He laughs, really, smiles, because Isaac is a prototype of the Christ child. It’s begotten; it’s not born…it’s really begotten. Isaac in the sense, you should think of Isaac not as one that is generated but rather the fashioning of the unbegotten. That’s what Isaac really is…it’s the forming of the unbegotten. Because, God being the unbegotten he forms himself in man. Because God has no beginning; it’s Melchizedek, no father, no mother. It forms itself in man by leaving an impression, which is called overshadowing. And to overshadow simply means to superimpose.
A superimposition is the overshadowing of scripture. And you will take two, and if they really conform and become one, you have a perfect one. Two must actually mate and become one. So you must not leave…you must cleave and they become one person. This fantastic world in which we live, we are all one. In the end, we will see it. But you will hold that Isaac, the prototype of the Christ child. And when you hold it you’re moment of departure from this age has come. And so, when the curtain is torn in two which separates—the curtain separates this age from the future age—then you leave this age. But you don’t crow, because everyone still in this age is your being and everyone must be rescued.
So he’s prepared the way for his fragmented self to return, and that return passage is so clearly stated in scripture: “No one comes to the Father save by me.” So we have to be brought into the world first. So don’t think of Jesus Christ as a fully grown man talking…always the little child. That’s how you start towards the Father. Some people think of Jesus Christ as a man with a beard, a man with a long white robe. Always think of Christ as the little child, and that’s when the individual who gives birth to Christ starts toward the discovery of the Father. And the Father is discovered in his begotten Son who reveals him.
It all comes by expansion. The individual begins to expand and there’s no limit to expansion; there’s only a limit to contraction, to opacity. When you reach the limit of opacity and the limit of contraction—and it takes tremendous pain to do that and the pains are the horrors of the world—-at that point then comes a reversal and you start to expand. And the first resultant expansion is the Christ child, and he leads you to the Father; for the next one is David and David reveals the Father.
Then comes the splitting of the temple. Then comes the story of Moses and we thought Moses lived a thousand years ago, no, here is a rod and you are it. And you thought, well, the dove came out of an ark unnumbered centuries ago. No, all of a sudden the dove is on you. And so the whole thing unfolds and not a thing preceded you. You are God…nothing preceded God…so in the end there is only God. And the purpose of it all was for an increase of his creative power.
Any other questions, please?"
Brazen Impudence - Neville Goddard lecture - 1968
I tell this story only to illustrate a principle. You do not need to ask anyone to aid you in the answer to a prayer, for the simple reason that God is omnipotent and omniscient. He is in you as your own wonderful AMness. Everyone on the outside is your servant, your slave, ready and able to do your will. All you need do is know what you want. Construct a scene which would imply the fulfillment of your desire. Enter the scene and remain there. If your imaginal counselor (your feeling of fulfillment) agrees with that which is used to illustrate your fulfilled desire, your fantasy will become a fact. If it does not, start all over again by creating a new scene and enter it. It costs you nothing to imagine consciously!

"At another time, I lay on my bed and with my eyes shut as in sleep I brooded on the mystery of Buddha. In a little while, the dark caverns of my brain began to grow luminous.
I seemed to be surrounded by luminous clouds which emanated from my head as fiery, pulsating rings. I saw nothing but these luminous rings for a time. Then there appeared before my eyes a rock of quartz crystal. While I gazed upon it, the crystal broke into pieces which invisible hands quickly shaped into the living Buddha. As I looked on this meditative figure, I saw that it was myself. I was the living Buddha whom I contemplated. A light like the sun glowed from this living image of myself with increasing intensity until it exploded. Then the light gradually faded and once more I was back within the blackness of my room.
Out of what sphere or treasury of design came this being mightier than human, his garments, the crystal, the light? If I saw, heard and moved in a world of real beings when I seemed to myself to be walking in the night, when the lame, the halt, the blind were transformed in harmony with my inner nature, then I am justified in assuming that I have a more subtile body than the physical, a body that can be detached from the physical and used in other spheres; for to see, to hear, to move are functions of an organism however ethereal. If I brood over the alternative that my psychic experiences were self-begotten fantasy, no less am I moved to wonder at this mightier self who flashes on my mind a drama as real as those I experience when I am fully awake.
On these fiery meditations I have entered again and again, and I know beyond all doubt that both assumptions are true. Housed within this form of earth is a body attuned to a world of light, and I have, by intense meditation, lifted it as with a magnet through the skull of this dark house of flesh."
"The first time I awoke the fires within me I thought my head would explode. There was intense vibration at the base of my skull, then sudden oblivion of all. Then I found myself clothed in a garment of light and attached by a silvery elastic cord to the slumbering body on the bed. So exalted were my feelings, I felt related to the stars. In this garment I roamed spheres more familiar than earth, but found that, as on earth, conditions were molded in harmony with my nature. “Self-begotten fantasy”, I hear you say. No more so than the things of earth."
Live the answer - Neville Goddard lecture - 1968
"“Whatever you desire, believe you have received it and you will.” Knowing what you want, assume you have it and let no one divert you. Do your father’s will, believing in the feeling of your wish fulfilled. Try it, for this simple principle will not fail you. But remember: you are its power, as it does not operate itself. I can tell you how to move into another state, but you must move into it. No one can do it for you. You see, states are permanent and it is up to you to get out of the state you are now in if it is undesirable to you."
"I urge you to dream nobly. Although your dream may seem impossible, invite it into your consciousness by feeling it is real. Wear this feeling as you would a suit of clothes, and persist until the feeling takes on the tones of reality. Do that, and in a way no one knows, your desire will appear as an eruption of your continuous thought.
Your desire started in motion when you wore it. Its appearance is simply a hidden continuity which came to the surface. Dwell upon a thought, and you will realize that it is not original. That the thought itself is complete and therefore every thought is Divine plagiarism!"
"Let me now tell you of a vision the lady had, who shared the dream of the screaming girl. One night as she was mentally reviewing her day, a long table appeared before her inner eye. A judge, robed in black and wearing a white wig, was sitting at one end holding a gavel. Looking directly at her, the judge raised his gavel, lowered it to the table and proclaimed: “The incurrent eyewitness.”
The word incurrent means giving passage to a current that flows inward, such as a sponge when placed in water. This lady has been conditioned by Divine Providence to receive spiritual communion. Whether she likes it or not she will be compelled to receive it, for she is already awake! She will bring back vision after vision paralleling scripture, for scripture only records finished history."
"“That night . . while reviewing my day . . I thought of these people, and wondered how anyone could give such love, devotion, sincerity, time, energy, and money, to what I called `reverent baloney.’
“Dwelling upon that thought, I fell asleep and dreamed I was in a very strange and barren land, with craters everywhere. Hundreds of people were walking down a long roadway, leaving behind a girl, who was possessed by a screaming voice. Curious there, as I am here, I wanted to see the girl. When I saw her pity poured forth from me. I sat beside her, put my arms around her to offer sympathy, when suddenly the voice began to scream from within me. Then the girl arose, and walked away completely cured as I awoke.”
My friend was shown how discriminating one must become. The moment you contemplate something you become the very thing you behold. Entertaining a state in sympathy, my friend entered it. That night her heavenly Father taught her a great lesson. That no matter how awake one may be in this world, no one is exempt from falling into a state."
"How do you occupy a state? By asking yourself how you would feel, what you would see, hear, touch, taste, and smell if your dream were real. Take time to set the stage. Being the star of your production, place yourself center stage, then allow a friend to enter and see you in your new state. Write the script . . the words he would say when he sees you. Feel his touch."
"Every fact is a dream made visible, so I invite you to live as though your dream were already a fact! I am convinced that every dream (desire) I have dared to live in the now has gradually and unnoticed blossomed into fact in my life."
"Step out of this garment and you will instantly step into another. Ninety per cent of those who leave are totally unaware of what has happened. Observing their passage, we think they have died, but they do not die to themselves. They do not even recognize the change, any more than you do when you are asleep. The moment you become aware that you are dreaming, you wake up. But if you do not awaken it is because you have passed through the gate we call death, to continue your dream.
In your night dream you take everything for granted . . until you begin to become aware that you are dreaming. If you find yourself waking, try to grab a solid object, like a post . . but not an animal, no matter how tame he appears to be. Hold the object and will yourself to wake up, and you will awaken in your dream to find yourself in a world which is just as real as this one."
"When this happens don’t get panicky, as you will come back. Instead, if you have any red blood in you investigate the world you find yourself in, and you will discover the people there are just as stupid, just as ambitious, and just as sound asleep as they are here. I have been shut out of this world many times, to return to find this body cataleptic for maybe twenty or twenty-five seconds before I could animate it again. If sometime I do not get back, the doctors will cut up the body to see why I died. They will come to some conclusion; but if they are honest with themselves, they will know that there was no physical reason for my death. I simply left and did not return."
"You can sit quietly and enter a glorious dream. If it’s shadowy, you are not in it. Persist until you enter it, and it will become the only reality. Live in the state of your fulfilled desire now, knowing that in a way unknown and unnoticed by you it will erupt to become an objective fact."
Come, O blessed - Neville Goddard lecture - 1967
"At times I discover that I take too much for granted. Just because I read scripture all day, I’m inclined to believe most people do . . and they don’t. Yesterday a doctor who has been coming here for quite a while came to see me, and I realized that I had not made myself clear; so tonight I shall try to make this a very practical lecture, yet you will find it profoundly spiritual.
In the 25th chapter of the Book of Matthew, you will read the words: “Come O blessed of my Father and inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world.” Now, this entire chapter is made up of one parable after the other. It begins with the ten wise and foolish virgins. Then the story is told of the talents and their use or misuse, followed by this statement: “I was hungry and you gave me food, thirsty and you gave me drink. I was naked and you clothed me, a stranger and you received me. I was in prison and sick and you visited me.” Surprised that they are invited to inherit the kingdom prepared for them before the foundation of the world, they said to him: “When did we find you hungry and give you food, thirsty and give you drink? When did we see you as a stranger and welcome you, or naked and clothed you? And when did we see you sick and imprisoned and visited you?” And he replied: “As you did it to the least of one of these, you did it unto me.”
"Now, just before I took the platform a couple came back to tell me that in a dream our friend Jan said to him: “I will not return anymore.” She hasn’t brought it back, but he did. In the depth, Jan told him she was not returning, and that means resurrection. In the 20th chapter of Luke, the question is asked: “Whose wife will she be in the resurrection?” and he answered: “You do not understand the scriptures. In this age they marry and are given in marriage, but those who are accounted worthy to attain to that age neither marry nor are they given in marriage, for they cannot die anymore. They are sons of God being sons of resurrection.” In the depth of her soul she told that one who heard it and he brought it to the surface to share with his wife. So I saw: the inner man is awakening, therefore it does not matter what the outer world looks like or what it does. The outer man goes on forever, for he is a part of this age of death."
Well there he is basically admitting that those who partake in the resurrection or what I'll assume is the integration of primary components which "resurrects" or brings out what's already there then they become a son of God. Not the other way around as NG seems to say at times assuming we're all sons of God all the time, when that's simply a capacity or as the alchemist calls it an attainment.
"But as I said earlier, who would not give their right arm to serve Jesus Christ? Don’t you think that if our cardinal knew that Jesus was in the city, that he would want to entertain him? And he would put Jesus at the head of the table saying: “The Lord is here” yet he would pass by one in need! You don’t give money to those you see in need unless you want them to remain there, needing money. Instead give them riches in your imagination! My friend didn’t give the man one penny . . he inherited his wealth; but he did give his friend the gift of his talent, thereby multiplying it. He is among those called O blessed of my Father, come inherit the Kingdom of God. Why?
Because he gave of the one talent God gave him and fed the hungry, gave drink to the thirsty, and clothed the naked. When his friend was financially in prison and sick at heart because of his limitation, he didn’t give him one nickel, but by exercising his God given talent, he multiplied it. This is what I am talking about. Use the talent that God gave you. Don’t bury it, afraid to test its power. Exercise each talent, and as you do, your five will make ten. If you can only use two, use them to the best of your ability and they will increase. Then you will be highly commended, for you are not called upon to share physically with others, but to use your imagination and see them as you would like to be seen, were you in their position. If you were in need, would you not appreciate someone imagining you are affluent? That’s what my friend did and that’s what I am asking you to do."
I remember when - Neville Goddard lecture - 1968
"In this simple way God revealed his power to create, his power to remember when! Having nothing, you can become aware of being surrounded by wealth, and feeling wealthy you can say: ‘I remember when I had nothing.” Does that statement not imply that the state of poverty no longer exists for you? I remember when I was unknown. I remember when I couldn’t sell a book. I remember when I couldn’t sell anything I wrote. I remember when. Now you fill in the events, the desires and the fulfillments. I remember when. Do not those words imply memory?"
"In the first vision I heard of memory, but in the second vision I experienced it. As I stood on a vacant lot I remembered, and as I did a fabulous structure took form. And the dream was doubled, affirming that it was fixed, that the law was established by the Lord as told us in the 41st chapter of the Book of Genesis. I tell it to you now in the hope that you will put yourself in an I-remember-when mood and trust your memory, because memory is your own wonderful human imagination, the one and only creative power of God scripture calls Jesus Christ."
"Last night I visited many of my friends, not only those who are here but those such, as my brother, who have gone through that little gate the world calls death. You see, to me this world is no more real than the world I visited last night. My friends, although gone from this sphere, are having the same experiences they had while they were here: hating, liking, loving, disliking. They are the same people, only young, with the same problems they had here. This I know, for being fully aware that I have already died, I can close my eyes to this world and enter that world instantly. I spent my entire night in a world, which is not real to this one, yet so solid and real to those who inhabit it."
"May I urge you to always use your power in a loving way, for it can be used unlovingly with the same results. It is possible to take a business that belongs to another and tear it down. This is done many times unwittingly, but the effect is the same. A few years ago while in Barbados I asked my brother about the business and he replied quite innocently: ‘It is doing remarkably well. The man who owns two-thirds of it is a good manager, but his hours are long and I think he is getting tired.” Six months ago the man asked my brother to buy him out, stating that the hours were too long and the responsibility too great. My brother set that whole thing in motion, and because the man wanted out, my brother got the business at his price. Victor has done this many times before, but not from revelation unless my father told him. One day the two of them were standing on fifty acres of undeveloped land, which opened to the beach, when my father said: ‘You know Vic, this would be a good place to build homes and hotels.” The property was then owned by three sisters who were not interested in selling, but one day when they were ready to sell, the man who had really wanted the property was in Brazil so my father bought it."
"The thought expressed by my father seemed to be an idle one, but it wasn’t, for thought only takes a moment of intensity to be made alive. A kettle of water placed on a low flame is slow to boil, but when the flame is increased the boil is assured. I was so intense in my vision of being the grandfather, that I built a word picture so clear that those who heard it saw the building as something objective to them. The key is this: While in a state you no longer desire to express, you must move inwardly by claiming: ‘I remember when I was in a state I did not like.” If you can remember it you are no longer in it. Instead you are becoming aware of your new state as a present objective fact. And if you will remain faithful to your new awareness, it will crystallize. You will find yourself moving across a series of events which will lead you to the fulfillment of your desired state. How it will come about I do not know. I only know it will unfold."
"Start now to remember when your friend wasn’t well by imagining he is healthy. Remember when your daughter was single by imagining she is married. Go through life remembering when. Haven’t you heard people say: ‘Who does he think he is? I remember when he had nothing and was a nobody!” Now, you may have heard a little jealousy in their tone and that is good because envy adds fire to the statement, which causes the one spoken of to have more! He may never know who caused his success, but it was done by an act of remembrance with intensity."
"My vision . . although experienced many years ago . . was doubled, thereby affirmed and made a principle for all to prove, so I ask you to try it. Compare what you want with what you have. If they differ you must make the effort to move. You must learn the secret of motion. Many years ago my friend Bob discovered this. In his vision he questioned me, saying: ‘How long have I been here?” and when I replied: ‘Two years” he asked: ‘Did I learn anything?” to which I answered: ‘Yes, you learned how to move.”"
"Now, some of you are having physical and emotional problems. As I told a friend tonight, no one ever promised you that it was going to be easy to bring forth the greatest gift in the world, so don’t expect it. There will be problems, horrible problems; but be of good cheer, for we are told in the 16th chapter of John: ‘When a woman is in travail she suffers, but when the child is born she forgets everything because of the joy that the child is born.” You are destined to know such joy, for the child to be born in you is Christ Jesus, the creative power of God.
I am not promising you complete relief from all physical problems, but I have given you a law which will cushion the blows of life. Things are going to happen and you will find all kinds of challenges, but you now have a law which states: ‘Whatsoever you desire believe you have received it and you will.” That’s a law, which will never fail you and there is no limit to your power of belief. It’s entirely up to you as to how and when these revealed laws of God are used, but I do know that you are going to conceive and bring forth the greatest thing in this world which is the birth of God, the birth of joy, as Blake said in his poem, ‘The Mental Traveler”
‘I traveled thro’ a Land of Men A Land of Men and Women too And heard and saw such dreadful things As cold Earth wanderers never knew
For there the Babe is born in joy That was begotten in dire woe Just as we Reap in joy the fruit Which we in bitter tears did sow.’"
The true knowledge of God - Neville Goddard lecture - 1969
"The true knowledge of God is recorded in scripture, but told in a strange and wonderful manner. Jesus said: “Go and say unto them, I AM the root and the offspring of David, the bright morning star.” Here you discover that “I AM” is the root, the origin, the Father; yet “I AM” the offspring of David. In other words, “I AM” is the Father of David and David’s offspring. Then we read: “I will bring up out of you, O David, a son that will come forth from your body. I will be his father and he shall be my son. And then you will say: ‘I and my Father are one.” God the Father created the universe (his son), then buried himself there, that he may . . in the fullness of time . . draw himself out of humanity (which is David) to know himself to be the root and the offspring . . the grandfather and the grandson."
Time delay
A prophesy - 1968
"In this world of Caesar it could take an hour, a day, a week, or a month, to awaken the desire within and project it on the screen of space. But you must enter into the image and remain there, just as God did in the foundation of time, in order to make you, himself. God so became me, that when He awoke in the tomb, I did not know I had slept. In fact, I did not know I had been placed there, as I had become so one with it."
A movement of mind - 1969
"A dream is a very fluid state. Knowing what you want to dream, bring your inner circle of friends before your mind’s eye and allow them to see you as you want to be seen. When you are self-persuaded this is now a fact, relax in the vision’s gestation period. There is an interval of time between impregnation and birth. Having seen the expressions on their faces and heard the sound of their voices, break the spell and wait for that impregnation to take place in the world of dreams, while you live in the world of Caesar awaiting its coming."
A parabolic revelation - 1969
"I tell you: imagination will not fail you if you are faithful. What could I say when I was confronted with the negation of my assumption? Nothing. I simply would not give up, and when the time was right my assumption became a fact. I urge you to set your goal high. Assume the feeling it has been reached and sleep in that feeling. Persist and I promise you that not one thing in this world can rob you of that which you have assumed. But the most important thing is to know that which is housed within you is God’s plan of redemption, and he only redeems himself. God came down into the world and housed himself in you. Now he is going to discover who he is, for it is in you as a person that the nature of God is revealed."
Creative moments - 1997
"So tonight, you know the gospel of reconciliation. You can, this very night, sit quietly, assume that you are your friend that you would help and then your consciousness leading his body towards the fulfillment of his dream, or his desire. Do nothing more. You don’t raise a finger to make it so; it was so when you did it. That little interval of time between what you did in your Imagination and that moment when it’s fulfilled in the world, what does it matter? If in dream…as my friend (who is not here tonight) found that it happened instantly, alright, he was on a different level where the substance itself is more pliable. But here on this level we have reached the limit of contraction, the limit of opacity, so it takes the little interval of time between the imaginal act and the fulfillment of that act."
All are human - 1964
"So he calls the bosom of God “Divine Imagination,” and we are expanding in Divine Imagination. But it’s still one, operating the entire world.""
All are human - 1964
""But while I am learning and experiencing this wonderful thing I must go through, then at moments I am scared to death of my own creation. Didn’t create the lion, I didn’t create the tiger. They are part of the eternal structure of the universe. I didn’t create this garment of hair called John Brown or Mary Smith; I didn’t do that but I animate them. I animate everything in my world. But Mary Brown and John Smith are eternal parts of the eternal structure of the universe, and you simply animate them. And to prove you do do it you simply see them not as they now appear to you but as you would like them to appear to you and to themselves. You don’t consult them, you don’t take them into your confidence, you ask nothing of them, you simply do it; and persuade yourself of the reality of what you imagine relative to them, and wait in confidence. You wait in confidence, and then in this interval of time—because you’re functioning on a lower frequency, you’re down here, and this is the lower degree of intensity than were you raised to the height of the Father—so down here, you must wait in faith, confident that what you have done will come to pass. And then it comes to pass. As it comes to pass, you’ve discovered life in yourself. And the day will come when you take it off…you never know it completely while you are still wearing this garment, for this garment is also part of the eternal structure of the universe. You had to assume it and move above it, but trusting from within the being that you really are.""

The law and the promise - 1961 Book
""But I had been attending your lectures for almost a year and my desperation forced me to put my imagination to the test. Indeed, I had nothing to lose. It was natural for me, I suppose, to begin by imagining myself having everything I needed. But I needed so many things and in such short order that I found myself exhausted when I finally got through the list, and by that time I was so nervous I could not sleep. One lecture night I heard you tell of an artist who captured the 'feeling,' or 'word,' as you called it, of 'isn't it wonderful!' in his personal experience. I began to apply this idea to my case. Instead of thinking of and imagining every article I needed, I tried to capture the 'feeling' that something wonderful was happening to me—not tomorrow, not next week—but right now. I would say over and over to myself as I fell asleep, 'Isn't it wonderful! Something marvelous is happening to me now!' And as I fell asleep I would feel the way I would expect to feel under such circumstances.
I repeated that imaginary action and feeling for two months, night after night, and one day in early October I met a casual friend I hadn't seen for months who informed me he was about to leave on a trip to New York. I had lived in New York many years ago and we talked of the city a few moments and then parted. I completely forgot the incident. One month later, to the day, this man called at my apartment and simply handed me a Certified Check in my name for twenty-five hundred dollars. After I got over the initial shock of seeing my name on a check for so much money, the story that unfolded seemed to me like a dream. It concerned a friend I had not seen nor heard from in more than twenty-five years. This friend of my past, I now learned, had become extremely wealthy in those twenty-five years. Our mutual acquaintance who had brought the check to me had met him quite by accident during the trip to New York last month. During their conversation they spoke of me, and for reasons I was not to know (for to this day I have not heard from him personally and have never attempted to contact him) this old friend decided to share a portion of his great wealth with me."

A prophesy - 1968
"God destined us, in love, to be his sons through Jesus Christ according to the purpose of his will. Falling in love with his image, God entered it and became his son. Having declared what he was going to do, God does it through his pattern called Jesus Christ. Knowing what you want, when you conceive a scene that implies you have it, that objective becomes the pattern for your desire to unfold. Jesus Christ is God’s pattern, his purpose which he set forth for the fullness of time. Christ is the plan, the image God entered and made so real he claims he is the image."
"Blake, writing in 1794, knew that 1,800 years had fled when he . . Enitharmon . . awoke. Blake knew he was the emanation, the shadow God entered and identified himself with. Blake tells us it was the image that awoke, knowing not that she had slept.
The emanation is always feminine. Eve came out of Adam. Every desire is feminine, regardless of what it is, be it a house, money, or a new car. Imagination is the male, which must leave every doubt, every thought of impossibility behind, and cleave to the desired emanation until they are one. To do this, imagination must enter into the shadow and remain there until there is only the awareness of being or possessing the fulfilled desire."
A riddle - 1969 (ON FREE WILL)
"You and I have been purposely blinded by the Father in us. Our hearts have been hardened by the Father in us. So the words are true, and when you reach the end you will say: “Father forgive them for they know not what they do.” God the Father uses the tyrants of the world for ends beyond their own. Every person in the world is only a mask God the Father wears while playing that part. Man sees and judges the mask; but the occupant he does not see, for his eyes have been blinded and his heart hardened. God is playing each part based upon the environment in which he was placed . . not by his own choice, for we were made subject unto futility; . . not willingly, but by the will of him who subjected us in hope; and we cannot turn back until His predetermined goal is reached. That is when we reach the end of the journey and go through the series of events called the story of Jesus Christ, at which time Christ is formed in you."
"May I tell you: it has been determined what the last will do, and how they will do it. Having become separated, all are moving toward the final event. I am not saying this to flatter you who attend my meetings, because whether you come or not, it makes no difference to my way of life. I am no longer interested in things of this world or to shine among shadows, for I know that the greatest of the great never walked the earth and was never mortal born. I have no desire to establish something here for shadows to say how wonderful I AM. No, all of us are moving toward the inevitable end. To turn around as the prodigal son and be embraced by the Father, thereby becoming the Father. And on that day you can forgive everyone, knowing they know not what they do. Believe me: every word of scripture is true, for I have experienced it. But it is not secular history. It is salvation history."
"I was sifted a long time ago. I now know that I came into this world to be stirred in Christ. I was not satisfied with the environment into which I was placed at my mortal birth and became restless, knowing I was destined to grow into something different; so I started my search to completely unveil the Christ in me, and now I am telling the story. I tell it to the best of my ability, but I know that only a few will hear it with faith. The mass will reject it. There will be those who will hear and believe, but they will be afraid of the reactions of society and, therefore will be silent. This is told us in the 12th [chapter] of John, where it is said that many heard and believed, “but for fear of the Pharisees they did not confess it lest they should be put out of the synagogue.” The synagogue of the ancient world is still with us today, in all denominations of churches where anything that disagrees with their traditional concept of a secular is excommunicated."
A state called Moses - 1968 (ON FREE WILL)
"The only God who will bring you out of slavery is I AM. While enslaved, assume I AM free, and have the courage to continue worshiping the only God, for there is no other. God did not promise life without peril, because you are capable of falling back into your former state of consciousness."
"Knowing that he had the power to die and overcome death, God died. Now he must overcome death, and he will. History tells us of the great Roman Empire and the Chinese Empire. We are living in the day when the great British Empire is vanishing. There was a time when the sun never set on the British Empire, and now it has diminished in size to almost nothing. Every empire dies in time. People die and dynasties die and all of the great fortunes will die."
Creative moments - 1965
"Q: Neville, are we not in some danger in trying to give somebody else what we think…giving them what we think they should have?
A: Not if you do in love. If you exercise your Imagination lovingly on behalf of another, something that you would willingly accept for yourself if rejected by the other, then you are on very safe ground. I wouldn’t take it upon myself to say that I’m going to separate these two people. No, I’m here for reconciliation, rather than separation. My friend told this story, which I shared with those who were here last Friday. So if you were not here, I will tell you because it really is quite an important thing as part of this technique. A lady asked…first of all, he gave her a new car. She hasn’t had a car in the longest while, so he assumed that he was this young lady, and then gave to her the car by wearing this garment, going to the street, seeing the lovely new car (which was her car), got into the car, had the top down—he saw the make, saw the color—then drove off with the wind against his face, all driving as this young girl. Then he pulled over to the curb, got out, leaving the girl now—he got out of the girl’s body back into his own—and he is now on the curb. She waved, smiled a nice, sweet, tender smile at him.
The next night, he went to the restaurant where he always goes. This girl is a waitress there, and she was so excited when they came in, he and his wife. She took them out to the street and showed the new car. It was the make, the color, and the top was down. It came to her as a gift in a sense because her mother not seeing her as often as she would like to see her daughter and knowing the reason was that she didn’t have a car, thought “this is selfish on my part, but I want to see more of my daughter so I’ll give her the money for a car.” And she bought the car. Now with the car giving her freedom which she had not enjoyed, that kind of freedom, in quite a long while, she asked him to now sever a relationship, that she depended on this man to take her home when she worked late and ___(??). The friendship became, well, closer and closer, and she asked to be free of it without hurt to the man, for he was kind and tender and sweet, considerate in that interval. But she wanted no more of it, but she didn’t want him hurt.
He, on the other hand, subconsciously must have resented this monopolizing of her time by this man ___(??), and so when he got into her body once more to free her of this man, he did not act in a kind way, with the result he found himself trapped and could not get out of her body for six hours. To the point where his own wife looked at him and said, “Who are you, ‘cause you’re not my husband!” He couldn’t get out of the body, he was trapped. And so he said, “I know now that without love you could be trapped; therefore, caution the class not to ever exercise this terrific power save in love.” After he got out after six hours of struggling he was so exhausted that he fell asleep and slept for twelve unbroken hours. Then the voice woke him in a very tender, tender manner—-the voice said, “I have restored my soul. Now I am gathering my own in love, beauty and joy.” So again, the vision broke into speech, confirming the presence of Deity.
So, to answer your question again, do it only in love. Whenever you do it in love, you’re doing the right thing. Someone may reject my gift, but am I willing to receive it back again and willingly? Alright, let them reject it, it returns to you. So do unto others that which you would have them do unto you." All are human - 1964
"So the whole vast world that lives and moves in my world moves because I animate it. But I do it unknowingly. You are doing it unknowingly. You are making everything alive in your world, but you don’t know it, for you haven’t yet had the experience of stopping it to see it is something that is dead unless you animate it; that nothing is truly and really independent of your perception of it. That it moves, but you don’t know it moves because you are animating it. And one day you are told of a certain law, that you could, without the consent of another, change the attitude of that being towards life, towards himself; and in changing his attitude, you could change the circumstances of his life. So you try it. You don’t ask his consent. You simply represent him to yourself as the man, or the woman, that you would like him to be, and you’re quite sure he would like to be it. And so, you don’t confide, you don’t take him into your confidence and tell him anything, you simply try it. Then when you meet him in the not distant future, he has changed his attitude towards life, and in that change of attitude he has changed the aspects of life. He has a change of environment, change of circumstances.
And so, you don’t brag; you’re just learning a lesson. Where was the activity to begin with? You are the ark of God, and the ark contains everything, nothing is missing from the ark. So you are either the ark of God or you’re simply a phantom from the earth and the sea. By this, you know you’re the ark, because he lives, seemingly, on the outside and he moves independently of your perception of him. Were he truly independent of your perception of him, a change of attitude in you relative to him could not produce in him a change at all, it couldn’t. But it does! It produces a change; therefore, he must be truly in you. And we go back to Blake: “All that you behold though it appears without, it is within, in your Imagination, of which this world of mortality is but a shadow.” So when Blake uses the word “bosom” he means Imagination, which he reveals in that wonderful statement, another passage in Jerusalem, that “we are ever expanding in the bosom of God, the Human Imagination” (Ch.1,Plt.5).
"So you are doing it, I am doing it; everyone contains all in himself. And all that we behold, though it appears without and seems so completely independent of us, it really isn’t. For I know that the night that I saw this thing it frightened me. I was scared by my own being, because it was simply myself made visible. That’s part of the eternal structure of the universe. But I animated it. He said, “Eternity exists, and all things in eternity, independent of creation, which was an act of mercy” (Vis. Last Judg.,Pp.91-92). That act of mercy was the animation of that which exists. The whole thing exists, but it’s dead, it’s frozen, and then you, God, awaken it. You begin to animate it, and as you animate it you don’t know you’re animating it and it scares you. You are afraid of your own life, because you give it life; it has no life in itself. Only the Father has life in himself, and as the Father has life in himself, so he has granted the Son also to have life in himself. "
"Now, what then endures? This is part of the eternal structure of the universe. What then passes away and what endures outside of the eternal structure that God has set up to bring forth himself as you?—-love, love never ends. As for prophecy, it will pass away, as for knowledge, it will pass away; for our knowledge is imperfect and our prophecy is imperfect. But when that which is perfect comes, that which is imperfect will pass away. And so, when we are perfected in his own mind’s eye…when the lowly being that we started as, just trying to make something move and it moved…but we didn’t know we did it. We saw it move, and we didn’t see any contact between the thing and ourselves. We didn’t have a string, like a kite, but we know when we’re flying a kite with the wind we can do certain things and we do know we are guiding the motion, or we feel we are. But we have no sensation of contact between the beam, say, a beam of thought, and we don’t realize we’re just as contacted with it as we are with the string and the kite. We don’t know it. And so, it moves and seems to run from us and sometimes frightens us because of our attitude towards it. And it scares us to death…when it has no power in itself. All the power is in the mind of the one who is looking at it, and imagining whatever he is imagining when he looks at it. And the whole vast world is simply the animated structure of the world, animated by the percipient, and you are the percipient. So the only thing that really remains is love, because God is love. There is nothing but God and God is love."
Eternal states - 1968
"Now, Blake uses the word “mercy” only as one who sees that states are eternal; that in God’s mercy he created all things, not just a few, so that any situation which can be conceived, already exists in eternity. When Blake said, “Eternity exists and all things in eternity independent of creation which was an act of mercy,” he meant that everything you see is dead, a part of the eternal structure of the universe. You are its operant power. When you enter a scene it becomes animated. Then you become lost in your own animation and think it is independent of your perception. Looking at it, you cannot believe you are causing the animation, but you are. You and I are living souls, buried in a world of death. We are destined to be life-giving spirits through an act of mercy, but until that time we animate what we perceive."
"So tonight you keep in mind the eternal law based purely upon states. Blake could say, “I do not consider the wise or the just or the wicked”—and you could name all the states—“that men falling into these states are in supreme states, but simply states of the sleep which the soul may fall into in its deadly dreams of good and evil when it leaves paradise following the serpent.” This serpent is simply God himself. This is the great drama, an eternal drama, of the descent and ascent of one presence and that presence is God. We are told “It has been told us” or rather “It has been taught us from the primal state that he which is was wished until he were.” Now put that down, it’s a law. Although Shakespeare said it it’s based upon an eternal principle. God’s first urge was a wish: Let us make man in our image, in our likeness. There’s not one word in scripture where he ever changed that plan. So that “Let us make man” man is part of the eternal structure of the universe, and here is a presence now who exchanges his divine form for that of man. So God becomes man that man may become God."
"Seeing how I feel this night when I’m closing to make it so clear to you that no one can divert you, that they can’t turn you aside into these blind alleys and throw you into these cesspools (for that’s what they are). God wears every garment. It doesn’t matter what pigment—the whitest skin, the blackest skin, the yellowest skin—all these are garments that God wears. He actually became man. And may I tell you, these garments, not one is progressive from one to the other, they are eternal parts of the eternal structure of the universe. And God actually buried himself in these garments and he’s transforming, individualizing himself. You say “I am,” that’s God. But when you say “I am” you have a peculiar, wonderful feeling of individuality about it. Even if you have…this very night you suffer from amnesia, there’s still that sense of knowing that I am. It is something that’s different from any other presence in the world; that’s your individual being and it’s forever."
"Neville: My dear, the world is dead and people don’t know it. Dead, dead as dead can be, even though they are walking it. The day will come that you will have this experience. You will know that what you are feeling within you, you could arrest; and as you look at the people round about you, you arrest their activity within you, and everyone stands still. I don’t mean they are standing still like soldiers at attention when they can still blink their eyes and move the body; I mean they are dead! They can’t move an eye. They are not aware that they are standing still. And if you arrested that motion for 1,000 years, when you released it they would continue on their intention and not know for one moment that they were still for 1,000 years. This is all part of the structure of the universe.
All that is taking place in the world belongs to the eternal structure of the universe. You didn’t get created; you are part of the eternal structure. All marriages, all divorces, all love, wayward love, lovely friendships, hates it is all part of the eternal structure of the universe.
So, when we speak of creation, I don’t mean erecting a little man of clay. Man was always a part of the structure of the universe. I am not speaking of the creation of life. We are only animated bodies now. The day is coming that we will become life-giving spirits. Then you will see the whole vast world is a dead body, as dead as the moon and all the relationships are worked out in detail. If one could but see with the awakened eye as the child comes through the womb, the whole pattern of its life is there."
Neville's purpose revealed - 1971
"They are so eager to make money, so eager to get a name among shadows, so eager to build monuments to themselves, that they have no time for the story, . . they are all about the shadow world. Now, what does he mean, he was above all of them? Well, if you can take it, may I tell you? all these “garments” [indicating the physical body] are shadows. They are part of the eternal structure of the universe. You are “wearing” these garments, and they are you only for a temporary part of your time. They became a part of you when you penetrated them and annexed the brains of them; and so for a little while they are a temporary portion of the soul . . but only for a temporary part of your journey. It is not You. These garments . . you burn them up . . put them into the oven and reduce them to ash, but that’s not You. Throw it into the furnace, and that Fourth One comes out, the Fourth One being your Eternal Being as you. You are told in the Book of Daniel: “Throw them into the furnace,” . . reduce them to ashes; but here is the Immortal You that cannot die. But while you are here and you are a part of that little world in which you live, you think it is you, and you’ll die to protect it and do anything to save it while you go about your business trying to make more and more of this shadow world."
"When you are whipped up in the form of a spiral into your own skull, it is as though it takes that energy to ram you into the eternal structure that God has predetermined; as though the whole vast skull is being filled, and you fill one niche forever and forever."
"Question by a lady: You have told us that when we leave this segment of time, we are restored to another world just like this one. Do we come back and play these parts again?
Neville: No, you have played them. But “Hamlet” remains after Burton played the part, to be played by other actors who will interpret it a little differently. When Blake made that statement that seems to confuse so many scholars . . he said, “Many suppose that before Creation, all was solitude and chaos.” He said, “That is the most pernicious idea that could enter the mind of man, for it takes away all sublimity from the Bible … and makes the one who entertains the thought” a little groveling worm. Now he makes this bold, bold assertion: “Eternity exists, and all things in Eternity, independent of Creation, which was an act of Mercy” [from “A Vision of the Last Judgment”].
He looks upon the whole vast world, with all that is in it and all the combinations . . everything as part of the eternal structure of the universe. What he means by “creation” is that here this structure is animated by spirit entering the body. I enter “Hamlet,” and Hamlet becomes, now, not just a costume hanging in a play, but he becomes a living, animated being. So, first we animate the body, but that is not the ultimate of creation. I then must become, not only a living being, I must become a life-giving spirit. That is when we awake from the dream of life where we only dream of the journey, and we are life-giving spirits . . one with God the Father.
For, “as the Father has life in Himself, so He has granted the Son also to have life in himself.” So, until that is part of my being, I am only an animated body . . animating the form that I “wear.” So, these “garments” will be “played” by actors, and “God only acts and is in existing beings or men.” The actor-in-Man is his imagination. That’s God."
A divine event - 1969
"Today I watched the exciting touchdown of the astronauts who had traveled to the moon and back. Then I reread what I had written back in 1954: “You do not move in waking any more than you do on your bed in sleep.” Now, reason could not accept that statement. I saw the astronauts return. We have a record of their journey of a half-million miles, yet they did not move? Well, I must confess that I have traveled in my dreams, as I am sure you have; yet we always wake on our bed in the morning, do we not? Could there be a dreamer far deeper than the one who is dreaming this seeming waking state? And when he awakes from the dream of life, would he not look upon it as you look upon the dream of the night? I know that when I awoke from within, I realized that I had been there for unnumbered centuries, dreaming violence, love, hate, concupiscence, and pain . . dreaming everything to be real, just as I did in any dream. I awoke to discover that I had been in that skull for centuries, dreaming I was a man walking the earth, dying, being restored to life to die again. This I continued to do until that moment in time when I awoke in Golgotha, the sepulcher where I was buried in the beginning of time. That’s my Calvary.
I seem to move here. I get up and shave in the morning, bathe, eat, make an effort to earn a dollar to pay the rent, and do all sorts of things; yet it’s all a dream, a dream with a purpose. God limited himself to the limit of contraction and opacity called man and began to dream this world into being. Now believing himself to be you, you can dream noble dreams or ignoble ones. I urge you to dream noble dreams, because when you know you are the dreamer you can make all of your dreams come true.
A dream is a very fluid state.
Before Abraham, was I AM - 1968
"When you reach that state the work is done and you return to where you were before your deliberate fall. You did nothing wrong, but took the challenge, for only God could die in confidence that he would rise. We are the gods who took the challenge, who came down and entered these masks that decay and die, to find ourselves restored, waxing once more, waning, and dying. Restored, waxing, waning, and dying, over and over and over until the end is reached. Then there is no more restoration, only resurrection, as we are lifted out of the world of death to enter the kingdom of heaven, the world of life.
Everyone is destined to be in that kingdom, to play his predetermined part, for “Those whom he foreknew he predestined to be conformed to the image of his son, and those whom he predestined he called, and those whom he called, he justified, and those whom he justified, he glorifies.” Everyone, even the least in the kingdom, will be glorified in the body of the Risen Lord and remember: before Abraham, was I AM."
Blake: four types of vision - 1968
"Then our eye opened upon it and we had single vision and became locked in the prison of our senses or reason or both, and became a practical, downto-earth, hard-headed man, who knows that life is a battle and he’s going to take advantage of everyone because he’s going to get his. He piles up his millions, then the Father says “It’s time enough to return now.” So he slips off the little garment here where he left the millions to find himself restored to life in a garment same as before—only young, nothing missing, all restored, a healthy wonderful being—to go about his single vision again until he comes to his senses. He will think the world is supporting him, that the earth, the great mother is paying the rent and that the great mother is providing for him. And the undertaker will allow him to think so until he awakes when he comes to his senses."
Brazen impudence - 1968
"I tell you: there is an immortal you that cannot die. That night I gave my sister the conviction of a reality in her son that would survive when the doctor said he was gone. Gone where? Restored to a terrestrial world like this as a young lad, to continue a journey that was set up for him in the beginning. And that is to form the image of Jesus Christ in him. When that happens, Billy will awaken as Jesus Christ, the one being who is God the Father."
Born from above, John 3 - 1968
"So I tell you, all here are awakening. What does it matter if tonight everyone could go through that door and say “I heard the most wonderful story of how to make a fortune? Do you know that everyone here is a millionaire, and many are multiple millionaires?” That would be as nothing. But to go through that door and there are at least a dozen, two dozen here tonight, who could go out and say, “I’ve brought forth the child.” In other words, a new age is yours when you take off this little garment…an entirely different world you will enter. You’re not restored to life. You leave this world completely and you enter an entirely different age equipped with a new body, a body that no one here knows, because it’s a body that contains within itself life. It’s a life-giving power; it’s not an animated body."
"So here, this being the closing week, I do not know what I could tell you more important, more encouraging: That you are drawn for a purpose, for the impregnation, and then the departure from this world of sin and death. Well, if you lived here forever and had all the fortunes in the world, and everyone knew you and admired you, just simply worshipped you, what would it matter if at death you simply are restored to life in a new body, yes, unaccountably new, in a world terrestrial just like this to continue the same journey of slavery? But then, to depart here to find you are in an entirely different world, it’s a transformation. This is something entirely different, a metamorphosis takes place within man and it’s like the caterpillar and all of a sudden what comes out of it, the painted butterfly. Well, something entirely different comes out of man and the contrast is greater than that between the caterpillar and the painted butterfly. One clings to the leaf and can’t move beyond it, and the other takes us into an entirely different element, a new world. Well, that’s what comes out of man when he is born from above"
"Q: (inaudible)
A: My dear, death here is only restoration. Anyone who dies here will find themselves, I don’t care who it is, they’ll find themselves restored to life, not as an infant but a young person about twenty years of age. If you died at the age of 100, you’ll be instantly restored to life and find yourself very healthy, no member missing, nothing missing, about twenty, in a world just like this. You will grow old there too as you do here, and you will fear death there as you fear it here. Well, if you had conceived while here and you’ve forgotten because you may not have known—I would say ninety percent of those who are now carrying the Christ child are totally unaware of it—and so it will happen to you there at an early age. As in this room tonight, I know a few…I take one person, a man, for instance, who has only just turned forty. Undoubtedly, he would have no knowledge of the conception at the age, say, of ten in this world. But it’s thirty years between conception and birth of the Christ child. But it takes all the years, all the centuries, to prepare the way for that conception."
"Q: (much inaudible) …suppose you were ninety at conception and lived ten more years?
A: All right, then you will have it, my dear. It’s the same interval as you’re told in the Book of Habakkuk, “The vision has its own appointed hour, it ripens, it will flower; if it be long, wait, for it is sure and it will not be late” (verse 3). That’s the 2nd chapter of Habakkuk; it’s the vision, God’s vision contained within the seed that he uses. Think of Christ only as the creative power of God. Well, I tell you that God is man; therefore God being man, it takes man as the agent to perform that function."
"Today, if I confronted them and I would say to them and I would mean it, “You and I in the not distant future will depart this world, and you are going to find yourself restored to the most glorious, healthy young body, where you cannot describe how lovely it is, how beautiful it is and how young it is, in a world just like this, to continue your struggle; and I will not be with you (and I could not honestly in my heart say unfortunately, I couldn’t). But I will not be with you. We’ll depart in the not distant future, all of us, because we’re pushing that age anyway, but you are going to find yourself here and I will not be here. I am moving straight from here into an entirely different age. I am no longer the caterpillar.”"
MORE QUOTES OF NG TELLING US THAT WE CANNOT BECOME PHYSICALLY IMMORTAL
Christ bears our sins - 1969
"A friend, a very successful playwright, with many famous stars as his clients, used to listen to my visions and my interpretations of scripture for a short time, then tell me he had heard enough. He didn’t want to go beyond the point of curiosity, to become interested and desire the spiritual world, because he was afraid he would lose his physical contact with life and he was only interested in sex. He had money and everything money could buy, and he loved playing the field in the theatrical world.
He died a few years ago and is now restored to a body just like the one he had here, only young, full of vigor, eager to continue his sexual life. This man has not felt the famine which is sent. It is not a hunger for food or a thirst for water, but for the hearing of the word of God. And until that famine possesses you God’s word will not hold your interest. I could go on the radio and TV or write articles for the newspapers regarding my experiences, but . . like the lady’s husband . . they would say, “I am asleep and don’t you dare awaken me!”"
This is NG telling us pretty clearly that those who desire lots of accomplishments in this world aren't feeling the hunger for God yet. I mean I can say that this work has been my obsession since 2015 when I was 15.
"This gentleman had a wonderful dream. He may some day devise a plan that Western Airlines will use to ease the boarding congestion, but that was not the message of the dream. He is departing this world of Caesar. Having already had these experiences, he has forgotten them. But he will remember and know that when the time comes for him to depart this little section of time, he will not be restored to life, but will enter the New Age. Being one with the body of God he will know no restrictions, only the complete freedom of being God the Father.
Having entered the world, God the Father of all life incarnated himself in your flesh and blood body as the son. When God’s work is complete, He will depart this body and return to his heavenly body as the Father, redeeming you. This is the way to redemption, and there is no other way.
Although the words, “I and my father are one, yet my father is greater than I” appear to be contradictory, they are true. When I . . the awareness . . take on the limitation of flesh, I am aware of limitation. Finding myself in the form of a slave, I become obedient until death upon the cross called Man, where I remain as God, restricted by my incarnation. Then a predetermined plan erupts and delivers me from my self-imprisonment, and I return to the being I was . . but now enhanced because of my self-imposed restriction. Then I can say with Paul: “I have fought the good fight. I have finished the race. I have kept the faith. Now there is laid up for me the laurel leaf . . the crown of righteousness.”"
"God comes into the world by assuming human form. He incarnates himself at the birth of a child in order for it to breathe. While here God goes through literal hell, because his life does not end with the grave. Making his exit from this world of death, God is restored to life to continue the journey; to die and be restored once more, over and over again, until he finds this series of supernatural events which leads God to his home . . and Christmas."
"Christmas marks the birth of man as God, not the birth of God as man. There is all the difference in the world. Matthew and Luke tell the story of the birth, not as a little physical child, but as a sign of an individual’s birth as God, for God is born that day in the city of David.
When God is born in you it will be in the city of David. At that moment you are born as God. And from then on you will grow in stature. You will grow in favor of the Father because you will know yourself to be one with him. You will continue to remain incarnate, however, until that moment when you express your last breath. Then you will discover yourself to be life itself, for you will have entered the one body, one Spirit, one Lord, one God and Father of all."
Creation - 1965
"Q: Do some people die in this lifetime and never have any of these experiences?
A: Oh, the majority. The majority, ninety-nine point ninety-nine, and they’re all restored to life only to die again. And all these are being prepared. While God is preparing them, he is selecting the womb for his impregnation. His son, that power that is called “the little child” in the 8th chapter of the Book of Proverbs, “I am the first of his acts of old”—- the first creative act—-“and I stood beside him as a little child” (verse 30). “He who finds me finds life; he who misses me injures himself; he who hates me loves death” (verse 36). So the answer to your question, those who say there is no God and who hate the very thought of such theology, they want to control this world, and find some scientist or scientists who can perpetuate the little garment, go on forever in this and control of the world. Well, that’s a false dream, an idle dream, because they don’t believe in this that is something entirely different which is an act of mercy. Were it not for this creative act of God, we would simply be animated forms of a dead world.
Q: Then there is something that we must do to help bring this about?
A: The one teaching in the Bible concerning it is repentance, that’s all that I can find. He said, “The time is fulfilled and the kingdom of God is at hand; repent, and believe the gospel” (Mark 1:15). Believe the story. Here it has happened: One brought it into reality, the first fruits of those who slept, the first and true witness from the grave. Well, now one has returned. The seed that was planted in the womb of one has matured and brought back the story of redemption, the story of resurrection. Now he said, “Believe” after he tells us “Repent.” So the first command then was to repent, and to repent is to change your mind radically; and to go out and teach the world how to change their minds in spite of the facts of life, in spite of the seeming realities. While reason dictates? Alright, it may dictate it and I may find it diffi cult to change my mind when reason is forcing me to accept the evidence of my senses and the wisdom of men. You take…there is a chap in this audience tonight who went through a painful operation and painful experiences in the removal of skin cancers. And when the doctor said, “I can give you no more radium; you’ve had as much as I can give you”—and it’s not only an expensive operation, but it’s a painful thing—then he turned to this principle of repentance. He simply in his mind’s eye carried on an inner conversation with himself that it was gone. And he carried on with friends as though the friends said to him, “Well, where are they?” He said, “I don’t know… not even a trace that they were ever present on my face. And every morning…this man has a very heavy beard and he had to shave every day, and so shaving he couldn’t quite deny their presence. But inwardly he carried on conversions with friends as though they were not present. Then one vanished, the second vanished, and the third vanished, and they’re all gone. You can see it this night. I defy anyone to look at that man’s face with microscope and see where these skin cancers were ever present. So that’s repentance. He has practiced repentance, so he is prepared as a womb, loved by God because he obeyed God’s command to practice repentance. He’ll be impregnated if he hasn’t already been. I’m convinced he has been and he’s bearing the Christ child.
Q: Well, are there different levels of repentance?
A: I would say, based upon our understanding of the world there may be more diffi cult states to be overcome, one who has, say, lost an arm. To say, “Well, how can I repent in the sense of putting back an arm?” That would be more diffi cult and an impossible state compared to something that could happen, like a cancer disappearing without any further surgical remedies. But, in spite of that, I have had the experience where arms that were missing, eyes missing, all kinds of members of the body missing, and I walked by and everything came out of hiding as it were, as though they were in some hidden reservoir, and molded themselves beautifully into the empty sockets, eyes, arms, legs, all things, as I walked by. I saw it and experienced it so vividly. So I know the power of the new age, where man rises into a new world completely subject to his imaginative power. In fact, I didn’t do anything. I was one with perfection, and walking by, being perfect, not a thing in my world could remain imperfect, it couldn’t. I didn’t have compassion on anyone; I simply walked by demonstrating the power of perfection. So I know that world into which man goes when these things happen in him. But while he’s in this world, we’re all made subject unto this futility, certainly not by our own will, we are part of the structure. Then God in his infinite mercy redeems us through his Son. But through his Son he has to impregnate us with his Son. He is that male power that actually The Wonder Working Power of Imagination 145 impregnates the womb, the soul of man, and therefore the Son detaches himself from the Father, and therefore dies. It falls into the ground and dies, the womb; but it now is made alive and brings forth much, and redeems that womb into which it buried itself. This is the story.
Q: Do you consider that embrace by power and love as an impregnation? Or is there another time, another mystical experience…
A: I can’t conceive of any sexual thrill comparable to that embrace. So that was it, yes.
Q: Thirty years gestation?
A: Yes. But I do not know how long. After all, some take…in this world of ours we have different intervals. I only know in my own case it happened in ’29 and the child came forward in ’59, so that was thirty years. Then it was an additional three years, approximately three and a half to the completed picture. And so it fulfilled scripture. So what does it matter, because without this we are simply parts of the structure of the universe moved hither and yon. But God in his infinite mercy falls in love with the prepared souls, and the prepared soul of man is the womb of God. So, some of our scientists are right on certain levels, like a Freud, he thinks the whole thing is sex. Well, he isn’t altogether wrong."
Enter the dream - 1969
"People judge from appearances, as the individual’s true being is unseen by mortal eyes. God comes to us unknown and unseen; but in his own wonderful mysterious manner he lets us discover who he is, and when we do it is in a first-person, singular, present tense experience.
I am not trying to flatter you when I tell you that you are God. Everyone is. The one who murders is one with the one who is murdered. The rapist is one with his victim. These are all God’s experiences of good and evil in order to surpass good and evil and rise as Divine Imagination who is God Himself. You and I came down and, embracing the fire of experience, we have been consumed by it. Many a time the little garment that we wore turned to ash; and from that ash, we found a new body, just like the old one, only new, healthy and wonderful with not a thing missing, to be consumed once more. And we will keep on being consumed, one after the other, until that moment in time when we rise as the Lord Jesus Christ who is God Himself, to be consumed and restored no more. So when Blake said: “God only acts,” he really meant it. God not only acts, he is the only actor. When you begin to imagine, God is acting and what you imagine will happen"
Eschatology - the doctrine of the end 1969
"Eschatology is not the end of the world, as people believe. This past year a crowd left California and moved to Georgia and parts east, believing an earthquake would suddenly appear which would completely inundate us, and for the first time in recorded history, the east experienced an earthquake which shook twelve states. What does it matter if an earthquake comes when there is no death? The individual who seems to die, in truth is restored to life in a 20-year old body to continue life in the environment best suited for the work still to be done in him. Cast in a role he has not yet played, he will continue life as we know it here, until he has played all of the tribulations of human experience. Then and only then will he arrive at eschatology . . the day of the Lord . . and only the Father knows when that day will appear."
"She will eventually die, to find herself restored to life in a world just like this, with a body the same as before only young with nothing missing . . and she will not even realize what took place. She will still have the same fixed beliefs and she’ll go through another pattern of events to become proximate matter . . matter that is made to receive a form, like taking a piece of wax and making it soft enough to receive a seal."
Fulfilment of God's plan - unknown date
"So, I say, dream noble dreams, wonderful dreams. If they don’t come to pass tonight, tomorrow, or next week, you keep on dreaming them. But try to put yourself into the dream as though it’s taking place and try to live in it. Be possessed by the dream and see the whole thing unfold within you in this world of Caesar, always bearing in mind, the real dream. It must come to an end only when it’s fulfilled. And the story is the fulfillment when you awake. For resurrection is waking. It’s not gathering dead bones together and putting flesh on it. It’s simply awakening. You are sound asleep and you awaken like a man out of a deep, deep sleep to find yourself in a tomb. But you have the strength to break the bonds of that tomb and to come out of that tomb. And when they come to search for the body, they have taken away the body. They only knew you by reason of the body that you wore and that’s taken away and they can’t see you. “Him they could not see.” But he was fully aware of everyone round about him. And, here, all the symbolism of Scripture is unfolding before him. And he is the central character in the entire drama. They’re talking about him. They aren’t talking about Jesus. They’re talking about you. You are individualized and you tend forever and forever toward ever greater individualization. They didn’t call me by any other name. They didn’t call me God. Didn’t call me Lord, didn’t call me Jesus. They spoke of me as Neville. It’s Neville’s baby. I was aware of being “I.” No loss of identify whatsoever. But then when David comes, here is Neville. In this century I was born, the year 1905. Here we have a recorded, so-called history, of one born 1000 years B.C. and he stands before me and I know I’m his father. And here we have words put into his mouth that the Lord said to him, ‘You are my son.” And I know that I am his Father and only then did I gain the certainty as to whom I AM."
Consigned to disobedience - 1971
"So everyone in the world has gone through hell, may I tell you. If they haven’t, they are going to go through it, or they are going through it now. And you have lost . . you say you have five senses . . you have lost every one of them at some time, but everyone; and in the end, you will be the one spoken of in the Gospel who has the power to forgive sin. When he comes, He comes only at the end of the journey.
Christ comes once, at the end. That’s when He comes. And when He comes, He comes in the most marvelous, mysterious way, and lets the one for whom He comes, . . for He was the Master all along, . . and when He comes, He lets the one in whom He now rises experience who He is. And you experience Christ in the first-person, singular, present-tense experience.
In this world we can know a thing mentally by comparing it to other things, analyzing it and accepting it; but we know a thing spiritually only by becoming it. You will never in eternity know Christ until you become Christ. And Christ comes at the end, the very end."
"Don’t blame him, as all people do. He is blind . . all right, . . blind from birth. The question would imply that the one who asked the question believed in reincarnation, but he does not accept that theory. “Who sinned?” This man? He is born, from birth, born blind. Who sinned, this man or his parents that he was born blind? That is the story in the 9th of John.
And he answered: “Neither this man nor his parents, but that the works of God be made manifest. Be ye perfect, as your Father in Heaven is perfect.”
So he takes the Son . . takes you; it’s called the “servant,” and puts him through hell. As she said, “What fires it must have taken to take glass and turn it into a molten state? It was hot liquid glass formed into a man, and it came out of the top of my head; and the face was that of a man. It was complete,” . . that’s the word “perfect,” . . complete, but the body was not, because the body is not going to be like this body. It’s going to be that glorious Body of which I have spoken time and again when it moves up like a seraphim . . that fiery, fiery serpent."
Esau and Jacob - 1959
"QUESTION: Will you explain further about seeing another part of the room?
ANSWER: Practice bi-location. This is the tearing apart of Jacob from Esau. Sit in one room of your home and view another room, and see what you would see if you were physically there, and you tear yourself apart. Do not walk completely integrated, as a being that is only a garment of flesh: that is Esau. For man is all Imagining and he is always where he is in his Imagination.
If you desire security let no one tell you it is not spiritual. Those who say it is not spiritual are the first who will ask you for a handout! Let no one tell you that you should not have what you want in this world. It is yours if you know who Jacob is and who Esau is. Be ready to go through anything. Esau has to go through it; Esau is the slave of his brother. Jacob is the master. When you break loose from his yoke upon your neck, you are dead. Do not be embarrassed at what you lose. The best thing you can lose is false pride. You may have to go through the furnaces to lose false pride, for it is Jacob’s command.
QUESTION: How do you see this golden light?
ANSWER: I sit quietly and turn my eyes inward as if I am looking into my skull. In a moment a golden light begins to glow. Light begins to appear and it looks like golden liquid light and it comes before my eyes and then it goes out in circle after circle, like smoke rings, and these increase in rate and then they become like a funnel with the big end at my face.
Another exercise I practice: I take a table or a rug. I do not look at it, but focus my attention beyond it, and with my eyes partially open; I try to look below its surface. Suddenly the whole thing will become alive. There is nothing dead in this world. This rug at which you are looking seems inanimate, but suddenly in its depths people will appear. Do not be afraid and you will walk into it. You, the real you, are not contained within the spatial boundaries of this body, that is only Esau. But you are an immortal being and you can step through the seeming solid.
If you would like confirmation of this technique, read the life of DaVinci. He said that is how he got all of his paintings. He was the first one to give us the model of the airplane. Before the Wright brothers were thought of, he drew it. He said that when he wanted to paint he would look into a mottled wall and then all these people came out dressed in costumes, and they were not paid models!
Take a wall in your home, or look at the fireplace stones: they will become so familiar, and then the wall will change its face. It changes with your mood. Often it is a little girl; then it changes and is something entirely different. Your senses begin to expand, for there is something in every child born of woman that is immortal. I personally have no experience to confirm reincarnation as commonly taught, but I do have many experiences concerning worlds within worlds. I cannot tell you if the popular conception of reincarnation is true or false. I know I have always been, and I know I was sent, and that world from which I was sent is real to me, yet I had to go through what this world calls birth, but I do not call that reincarnation. That is the awakening of the sons of God and there is only one and that is Jacob or Jesus Christ."
God is known by experience - 1972
"So tonight could be your call. It may be tomorrow night. I hope it is not in the distant future. But He will call all; and when you take off this garment, having been called and having seen the Son, you have taken it off for the last time. Until it actually happens to you, “death” is not death. “Death” is nothing more than simply leaving a room and entering another room, simply like the room you left . . the same terrestrial world. With all the struggles you left behind you? You’ll find them there. You are restored to life, not as a baby; no reincarnation. You are restored . . a young man, a young woman, with not a thing missing. No need of anything to be added because nothing is missing; only you are young . . about 20 years of age . . to continue your journey in this world, to be confronted with all the problems that are here. Yes, and you marry there, too. You marry, and you grow old, and you “die” there, too. And if it hasn’t yet happened, you are restored again to continue the journey until it happens. But it’s going to happen to every being in the world. Not one can fail, because then God would fail, and that’s impossible. So everyone will awaken from the Dream of Life, and it doesn’t end at that moment in time that your senses cease to register that being and we speak of him as “dead.”
He is not dead. He’s in a world just like this . . restored to life in a world that is terrestrial, in a young, wholesome, healthy body, with all the problems that faced Him; because in the Resurrection of which I speak, there is no marriage, no male, no female . . a completely transformed being, who is God. But until then, there is still sex . . very much so in that world. But I am telling you what I know. I see them . . my father, my mother, my brother . . so many friends who are gone. I see them. They are not “gone” at all. They are in a world just like this, with all their struggles."
No other foundations - 1969
"A few months later another promised event will occur. It is said that: “As Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, so must the son of man be lifted up.” The son of man is Christ, your dreaming being. When this event is fulfilled, you will find yourself split in two from the top of your skull to the base of your spine, with the parts separating about six inches. At the base of your spine you will find a golden liquid light which is pulsing and living. As you look at it you recognize yourself and consciously fuse with it. Then, like a fiery serpent you move up that spinal cord to enter your skull as it reverberates like thunder. Try as you will you cannot get out, for your skull contains the dream of which you are its life.
The final act will come as that skull becomes translucent, so transparent there is no circumference. Looking up you will see a dove floating about twenty feet above you, its eyes lovingly fixed upon you. In my own case, I raised my left hand, and as I extended my index finger the dove descended and lit upon it. Then I brought it close, and the dove smothered my face and neck with affection, as a woman at my side said: “They avoid humanity because man gives off such an offensive odor. But because of his love for you, he penetrated this ring of offense.”"
Where are you from - 1933
"Well, repentance really is the ancient word for the word I use today of revision. For repentance is a radical change of attitude toward life. And if in the revolution of this world there is really a revolution, it’s not what took place in Cuba or in Russia or this country . . or in any part of the world. The real revolution is when man discovers that by a radical change of his own mental attitude towards life he can change the outer aspects of life. When man makes that discovery, there is a real revolution in the world. A man discovers that by his own change of mental attitude he changes the outer aspects of his life! For I can’t conceive of any greater revolution in the world . . and that is repentance."
In praise of wisdom - 1965
"to continue. So she said to my friend who was so successful in this, “I don’t want him hurt. I want him out of my life but no hurt. He has been kind, he has been sweet, he’s been generous, he’s been everything that’s been lovely, only I want this to come to an end, without the hurt of this person.” My friend, being very human as we all are…for anyone wearing these garments are wearing garments of animals, may I tell you. Anyone in this world, no matter (??), the so-called holy man, when he tells you how holy he is, don’t trust him through the door. Don’t for one moment trust him even with an extra dollar, because while you wear these garments you are subjected to the animal power. So, he said in his letter to me, “I love her in the same way you love your daughter Vicki.” Well, that’s really doing something, because if anyone could take a total stranger who waits on his table and love her to the degree and with the same affection that I love my Vicki, I take my hat off to him. Because I breathe with her…I take her every hurt to be my hurt. And if you are the father of a daughter among sons, forget the sons; but of the daughter, you know what I mean when it comes to a daughter…at least in my case. And so he said, “When I heard of this relationship, it so annoyed me that I think I must have been in some strange way as you would be over Vicki, jealous of his monopolizing the time and the affection of this girl.
So I thought I would do exactly what she asked me, to free her.” Now remember, she wanted him out of her life without hurt; that was her desire. She appreciated his affection, his tenderness, his consideration, his generosity all these things. But then, when he got into her body and became that being, he wasn’t playing two parts; he severed himself from his body and took possession of her personality, her mask, her (??), And then when it came to severing this relationship, he felt a great love when he entered her body. He said, “I can enter anyone’s body with love. It’s the easiest thing in the world to do. So I got into this body, and then came the request for complete freedom from this relationship. At that moment, instead of being kind I treated him as you would scum. In other words, I even found myself using a physical gesture which I noticed one day she used, in the restaurant when a man tried to be offensive, and she turned up her nose and with a flick of the hand.” What that meant, I don’t know. It suggested that she simply expelled him, like something obnoxious, something that was offensive, from her. It was a complete expulsion from her being by the turning of the nose up and some flick of the hand.
“In this, as this lady (for I’m not the man, I am this being) I did the same thing. Now that’s not what she wanted me to do, but I did it. I completely expelled him from my life, as though he were obnoxious. But now here came the horror of horrors…I couldn’t get out of that. I am completely Beth; I can’t get out of her. And for six hours I struggled and wrestled with myself to the point where my wife said to me ‘who are you?’ I was panicked. I was scared to death that I would find myself in the nuthouse thinking I’m a girl. No one would know what I did to produce this. And yet, I couldn’t get out of Beth…I am Beth…I am this young woman. Finally, how I do not know, but finally after six hours of labor and struggle, somehow I got out. How I don’t know. I was so exhausted I fell into a sleep and slept for twelve hours, twelve unbroken hours. But, at the very end it was worth it, for the most heavenly voice of love spoke to me and it said, ‘I have restored my soul. I am now gathering my own in love, in beauty and in joy.’ And that was it.”
So, said he in a letter to me, “Having had this experience, Neville, I wish you would caution the class and tell them not at any time to exercise their Imagination save they exercise it in love; for they will be trapped as I was trapped. I moved into it willingly and eagerly through love, but when once in it something in…because she did not request this. When I brought about the divorce of the two she requested the whole thing would be severed amicably, in a loving manner, fully appreciated for what he had done at the time he played that part, but he will play no further part in my life.” He moved by some other feeling of ill will, exercised ill will while in her body and became locked in it. So, he was big enough and generous enough to share with me his own experience that I may share it with you and warn you that when you are going to exercise this enormous power for another, which is not on this level at all, do it in love and you’ll never go wrong."
That's just insane.
Imparting and implanting the word - 1965
"Here is a lady, she is not present tonight, she said, “I had this wonderful dream, here I am and my youngest daughter said to me”—now this lady is a grandmother, one of the youngest grandmothers you’ve ever seen but a grandmother—“and my youngest daughter came to me and said there was a very ugly looking man, ugly face, in the house out in the back.” Well, she went out and as she entered the house it turned into a barn. What her youngest daughter thought to be an ugly face, it was her lover, in rags. In all of her dreams she always encountered this same person, and here he is. He seemed hungry and seemed to be either in rags or in old clothes. So she gave him something to eat, and then she took him by the hand and they walked out hand in hand, and she fell in love all over again with this person. In her dreams he follows as the one that she always loves. She passed a spot… she said, “Here was a spot… five feet from here is where the house was that I once lived in.” Then she walked… “Here is the house that I lived in…and here was a house that I lived in.” She walked by these many, many states of consciousness, signified by houses or places where houses ought to be. These were all states through which she passed.
So she pointed out to her lover…well, this man who was her lover, who seemed in rags, is the Father within herself. Man is seeking the Eternal Father, and when he finds the Father he finds himself. So you are in love with that being who brought you into being as it were. So she is now pointing out to herself these states through which she passed. And then, she only confirms what I’ve been teaching here, that when one departs this world or a state, he finds himself restored to life, a body same as before only new, unaccountably new, and it’s new and young. You depart here when you’re ninety minus eyes, minus teeth, minus hair, minus everything to find yourself instantly restored to life. And you’re in a body just the same as before, only it’s new, not minus anything. If you had no teeth whatsoever, you have all the teeth in the world growing out of your gums. I can’t explain it, but I know it’s true for I see it. There is no loss, everything restored. If you’re bald, you’re not bald. If you’re without teeth, you’re not without teeth. If you’re without eyes or you couldn’t hear, none of these things are missing. You are new and completely restored, but still in a terrestrial world just like this. And this goes on and on and on until the graft takes place. When the graft takes place and erupts within you, then Christ is born within you. That’s not a terrestrial world, that’s a celestial world. And you move from the terrestrial into the celestial world, an entirely different being expanding then forever in the bosom of God.
We are the ones moving out of this sphere into that sphere. But you can’t get out of this sphere until the graft takes place and then germinates and then erupts. The eruption is: resurrection; birth from above; the discovery of the Son of God who calls you Father. Then the splitting of the temple of your own body from top to bottom, which reveals this glorious golden light, which is she blood of God that was shed for you and you are it. For he chose you in him before the foundation of the world and that blood you are, and you move up into heaven in that serpentine motion as described in the 3rd chapter of John (verse 14). And then comes the descent of the Holy Spirit in the form of a dove on you and smothers you with love. Then you know that the drama on this terrestrial level is over, and when you take off the garment it’s for the last time in the terrestrial sphere. You do not find yourself restored to life after death. You are not restored to life, for now you are a son of the resurrection and therefore not of the terrestrial world."
Here he's telling us that you'll apparently fall in love with the same person.
"Q: If you die in this world as a small child, will you be a small child again?
A: A little child returns as a little child, my dear. This is a peculiar miracle…I can’t explain it, I do not know. I do not understand how it happens but it happens. I find people who died who looked eighty when they die, or a hundred when they die, I meet them and they look twenty. Many of them are not aware of the transition. They take it for granted, just as people in dream take it for granted until they become aware that they are dreaming, and then they wake up. Many who pass, they have no knowledge that they’ve died. Even though they see themselves young and beautiful, altogether lovely, they take it for granted. They never for one moment arrest themselves to ask why…any more than you do here. I find that people, they die, they seem so old, they look old, and then you meet them and they’re twenty, and not one faculty is missing, nothing missing. You meet them in different sections of time…not all are going to the same section of time. They go in that section of time best suited for the work yet to be done on them, for the whole thing is a closed circuit. You may drop now and find yourself in the year 3,000, not the year ’67 or ’68, or even 2,000…find yourself in the year 3,000 or 1,000. Which side you move is irrelevant. That seems impossible but it’s true.
Q: Did you say the terrestrial world would be the last world?
A: No, the terrestrial world is this. See, the world does not cease to exist at the point where our senses cease to register it. We think because I can’t touch him or hear him or see him, well then, he has ceased to exist. It’s like passing through a city. When I pass through the city, I think it ceases to exist because I’ve gone beyond it. No, the city remains for others to occupy it or to pass through it. And all of these are states, infinite states of consciousness through which man passes. And a state does not cease to exist because the man who occupied it has departed from it. So the whole vast world is real, solidly real. I go into these worlds and they are real, they’re solid. You are not made of gossamer and you grow old there too and die there, to find yourself restored and continuing the journey, maturing and dying and continuing the journey.
Not being born again through the womb of a woman, no. I do not get that at all. I can’t go along with that, because it’s not my experience. I just find them simply restored. My mother, the day she died, the very hour she died, appeared to me and she’s this beautiful woman twenty years old, unusually pretty, blonde, blue-eyed, brushing her hair… just altogether lovely. She couldn’t be sweeter and lovelier. Mother died…she was only sixty-one but she looked ninety…she was so, well, painfully thin and in such pain for two years before she died. But the very moment that she died I saw her, and I sat down and wrote her… and that was the hour that she was gone. No such thing as going to any little cemetery…that’s all big business. Cemetery, nothing! Someone conceived that idea to make money and playing upon the minds of people. So, who goes to any cemetery…outside of the stockholders! I’m told that if anyone had the foresight and you bought a nice block of stock in Forest Lawn, you could sit back and just clip coupons today.
A friend of mine used to say to me the first time he took me over—he departed by the way about the 11th of November he made his departure—when he first came out here he wanted to show me the place. Why he would take me to Forest Lawn to show me things? But he took me to Forest Lawn. He was a very humorous, wonderful fellow and he pointed out all the places and all the little actors who were buried here, and the wise men and the so-and-so there. Then he said quite casually, “Course the lots on the top of the hill are more expensive because the view is more beautiful when you come out at night, much more expensive up there.” Well, that impressed me. That is big business. I’m not saying that if you want to do it, don’t do it, no, do what you want to do. If you want a $10,000 funeral, have it.
My friend, John Van Bruton, we were dining together just about three weeks before he died. And then his friends who inherited his estate had to take care of the body, so they went over to the place to pick out the coffin. Well, I could hardly believe my ears when my friend told me the story. I said, “You’re lying!” He said, “No, I’m not lying…this is exactly what I heard.” He turns to his friend Dick, “Ask Dick if this did not take place.” This is his friend, Carter Lodge, who was his right hand through all the years that he was in this country. “Well, as you know he left a fortune, and so they knew he had this fortune so they wanted to get as much as they could out of the estate to bury him. They showed these coffins and they said, ‘See this, it’s all springs to cushion the body.’ Well, Carter said he could almost feel John behind him stamping as if ‘You dare do that, I’ll haunt you!’ Then I thought that was the limit of one’s credibility. That was not it. They had a mirror on the top of the coffin so when it was closed he could see himself. Believe it or not!” I said, “Now you’re lying.” He said, “No I’m not lying…this is exactly what I heard.” They tried to get something like $15,000 out of Carter, and Carter came out with, I think, a pine box. Then he and Dick took all the money that John left, got it very well invested, and now they’re thoroughly enjoying life, traveling all over the world, exactly what John would want them to do.
But of all the nonsense in the world, a mirror! Well, they’ll soon have other things in them, like a pipe, well stuff ed for him to smoke. Well, you catch some lovely lady who has just lost her husband and that was the pillar; or reverse it, a man who has lost his wife, who he depends on for everything that happens in his world, and he’s a soft touch. These ghouls come in, they don’t wait, not twenty-four hours because twenty four hours then you can think…but right away they get you. First thing they ask you, “Are you insured? Well, how much? You tell me first how much you’re insured for before I name the price of the coffin, of the funeral.” All you need to say, “No, I’m not insured. “I’m awfully sorry” and then they fall this way. I don’t want to be ghoulish about it, but I mean this is stupid. We’re living in a fabulous world and you don’t die. You’re restored to life instantly, and you’re renewed, you’re new. You don’t pick it up at ninety years and go on ninety, you’re back to twenty. Why, I do not know, but that’s the age.
When my friend told me in her letter yesterday, that here she takes this little child, he was fi ve years old, and as she’s suddenly pointing out to her lover, who she always sees in her dream, that this place I lived, this place I lived, this place I lived. Then suddenly the five-year-old boy is an infant. Then she realizes that she, herself, is just out of her teens, bringing confirmation from the depths of her soul of what I’ve been telling you. And then she wakes. If man could only be told that, he wouldn’t be afraid of dying, wouldn’t be afraid of departing, because you don’t die anyway. As you’re told in the very beginning of the story in Genesis, “Did God tell you that you would die?” asked the serpent and she replied, “Yes. The day I eat of this tree I will die.” The serpent said, “God knows you will not surely die, but you will become like the gods, knowing good and evil” (3:3-5). Now read, “And God said, ‘What will we do with man, for he has become like us, knowing good and evil’” (verse 22).
So we entered this world having partaken of the knowledge of good and evil. We enter a world where we still live in the world of good and evil. Which, may I tell you, is a blessing, for we could be forever an innocent babe knowing neither good nor evil and be automatons. So we come into a world to know good and evil and become as the gods, for that’s what they know. Then after much suffering, but much suffering, the soil is prepared and the word is engrafted. After that that’s all that matters. After the word is engrafted, what do you do? This kind of pregnancy is never brought about in the form of miscarriage, never! This is a divine pregnancy; there is no miscarriage in that. When that is engrafted it will grow, and in God’s own good time, it erupts. No one knows that moment…it comes like a thief in the night. You don’t even know you’re carrying the child…haven’t the slightest idea that you’re pregnant. All of a sudden, an explosion and the whole drama unfolds before you and you are the central figure, the star in the drama."

"Now, a state may be entered either deliberately or unknowingly, but you are going to become what you contemplate. The world’s wise men believe we are heading for the end, but its climax has already occurred. While on the cross, these words were spoken: “It is finished.” This age has already ended and an entirely new and different age, into which we are all moving, has begun.
To Blake, space was a woman, while everything in it was Man, and Man was God. Blake saw the world as a play of six thousand years, with a door opening to Eden every two hundred years. We think we are moving in one direction, yet everything is taking place now, and every two hundred years an individual can enter the New Age."
This is correct. Space is a woman, the subconscious level is "the dark mother matrix" as the alchemist has called it which has MANY different "facets" by which it can be manifest through. The solar consciousness is within it and navigates the matrix. Structure is Saturn, is the engulfing figure, but Saturn technically can ALSO be masculine, as well as feminine. It's kind of tricky, but dividing the archetypal nature of things here necessitates proper study. I still don't know everything about how all of these elements overlap, but I know enough t get by.
All that is divine - 1969
"When you view consciousness you must see the two relationships: the pure, unconditioned I AM, and the conditioned I AM. Now conditioned, I am aware of being Neville, a speaker and teacher. Another condition placed upon pure awareness is that of a banker, a lawyer, or that of a thief. These are all conditioned states of being the little child has cast you into, and you are playing your part perfectly."
Power called the law - 1969
"I ask you to use this power called the law. Simply determine what you want and imagine a scene which would imply you have realized it. Enter into the spirit of the scene. Participate in it by giving it sensory vividness. Then relax as you feel its reality. Don’t consider the means. Know your desire is already an accomplished fact and you are now reveling in it. Then have faith, for faith is loyalty to your unseen reality. Your imaginal act, although unseen, is reality for God did it. If I asked you who is imagining it, you would respond: “I AM” and that is God’s name forever and forever.
Learn to live in your imagination morning, noon, and night. This gentleman whose experiences I shared with you tonight told me that when he first heard me he thought I was crazy; but he tried it, and although it didn’t make sense it worked. I know the law and the promise do not make sense from a worldly point of view, yet I tell you: there is a plan of redemption buried in you which will erupt in the fullness of time and you will experience all that is said of a man called Jesus in scripture. Then you will know he was never a physical being, but the name of a plan. Jesus is Jehovah, who is your own wonderful I AM."
A movement of mind - 1969
"Now back in 1954, I awoke from a dream hearing these words: “You do not move in waking any more than you move on your bed in sleep. It is all a movement of mind. The intensity is determined by the strength of the vortex you create, which is just like a whirlwind with a center of perfect stillness. You only believe that you are moving when you are awake, as you think you move in sleep.” Well, I am a rational being and reason could not accept that statement, but I wrote it down and placed it in my Bible to await further revelation."
Faith love and hope - unknown date
"Now let me share with you three letters I received this week. One lady . . who is very much a lady . . writes, “On the night of January 24th I was sitting quietly, meditating, when suddenly something turned or opened in my head and I heard a voice say: ‘I AM faith, hope and love.’ A moment later a deep, gloriously masculine voice added: ‘I AM the Father.’ Those words touched me with such emotion that I burst into tears and cried and cried.”"
Feel deeply - 1969
"In this story we see the importance of feeling. Isaac asked Jacob to come close and kiss him. The word translated “kiss” means, “to set on fire; to burn; to touch.” That’s an emotion, an intense feeling. Reality is felt through the sense of touch. Feeling is touch. Tasting is touch. Scripture tells us he tasted death for all of us. How do you taste death? By experiencing it. Jesus tasted death by dying in all, that all may know who he is."
Gods plan of redemption - 1969
"I am interested in sports. I do not go to the races often, but I do enjoy watching the feature race on TV every Saturday. Last week a young jockey by the name of Angel Cordova was interviewed after winning the feature race. Wearing gay colors and looking almost like a circus clown, he was asked about his riding ability, and answered: “The ability to ride has nothing to do with winning. It is all in feeling lucky. I could ride the best horse there is, but if I do not feel lucky he won’t come in first.” This chap came to the track feeling lucky. Was he not imagining that he was lucky when . . at the end of the day . . he took home maybe $10,000 just for running the race? He may not know that his ability to imagine and feel “lucky” is Christ, but it is, for by him all things are made and without him is not anything made that is made. The jockey imagined himself a lucky man. He would not have been lucky if he lost the race. Only by feeling lucky could he bring the horse in first. Anyone who has succeeded in applying this principle will have felt that same emotion, for feeling causes action, and no power can stop that action called Jesus Christ, the human imagination."
Imagination creates reality - unknown date
"The conscious mind forms beliefs and opinions from the evidence of the senses or the perceived outer world. The creative power within each of us accepts as true that which the conscious mind impresses upon it. Your creative power takes those ideas, which are thought of with feeling, and projects them in your outer world. It is important to remember that not all thoughts are creative.
Only those which are believed to be true or which are joined with feeling create the circumstances and events that you will encounter. Therefore, emotions such as anger, fear, love or joy are creative. You must guard the emotions which you allow to enter your consciousness just as you would discriminate in allowing a stranger into your home. You cannot allow negative emotions to fill your mind without suffering the consequences of experiencing the state with which those emotions are joined. Fear of loss brings loss into your world. You could take every outward precaution to guard against loss, but if you fear loss, you will most certainly experience it in your affairs. Feelings of love and joy create happy events and loving relationships. Feeling abundant brings riches into your life. A person who is unloving or suspicious and feels that others take advantage of him, draws to himself that which he believes. No matter what he does externally, his relationships with others will reflect that which he accepts as true. He may want a loving relationship but he can draw to himself only that which he is conscious of being.
Dwelling on past irritations or hurts perpetuates them and creates a vicious circle that serves to confirm these negative emotions. The circle can be broken by starting now to revise anything that you no longer wish to sustain in your world. By revising the past, you rid yourself of any effect it may have on your future. Revision is truly the key, which can be used to unlock the doors that have kept you trapped in a particular state. “Be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind.”"
Many mansions - 1969
"As I stand here, my adjustment is only in my Imagination.
“Let there be light.”"
Moses-Elijah-Jesus - 1963
"Let me give you my own personal experience concerning these states. When you meet these states they are personified as men. Thirty odd years ago I was taken in the spirit into a divine council, a divine society, and the first one to meet me was the embodiment of infinite might. He was seated (and the symbolism is perfect) in a chariot, and hitched to this chariot was this perfectly marvelous pair of beautifully harnessed horses, and seated in the chariot was infinite might . . eyes of steel, not an nth part of love came from that face to mine. As he thought, I heard what he thought. He looked at me eye to eye, but no emotion of feeling concerning love or mercy or tenderness came from his eye to mine . . just sheer might, sheer power. No power on earth can compare to the embodiment of that power."
Neville’s Thoughts If Leaving Permanently - 1966
"Q: When Jesus said, “I felt virtue go out of me” that didn’t pertain to that sort of thing, in helping someone? When the woman touched him, she received help. Doesn’t that go with giving help?
A: First of all, Ina, whenever you think of Jesus Christ think of Jesus Christ as your own wonderful being, not a “he” out there, walking like a flesh and blood being. It’s your own being, your own Imagination, that’s Jesus Christ. I will not deny wearing these garments of flesh and blood that we do wear them out, they do tire. And so, I know after a day of interviews I used to be completely pooped. I would give my all…I never took it lightly. So when I would say goodbye to the last one at five thirty in the afternoon, oh, the one thing I wanted was a good double or triple Scotch. I was simply completely gone. I was giving all day, and the body simply is an emotional filter. I would go into the Silence and feel intensely the good that someone asked me to hear for them."
Seedtime and harvest - 1956
"So now let us now analyze what I personally mean by seedtime. If everything is finished and completed, then why the promise there shall be seedtime and harvest as long as the earth remains ? Now seedtime, to those who are here this morning, as we should really know, we are not taking it literally, our seedtime is that moment in time when you and I react to anything in this world. It may be to an object, it may be to an individual, it may be to a bit of news that we have overheard, but the moment of reaction, that emotional response, is our attitude. Our attitudes are the seedtimes of life, and although we may not remember the seedtime or the moment of response, nature never forgets, and when it suddenly appears in our world, that suddenness is only the emergence of a hidden continuity. It was continuous from the moment of reaction until it appeared in the world.
Now what is now our seedtime today. There are maybe two thousand odd here, we have two thousand odd different requests, multiplied by a large number because we have requests for others but you can take, today, as you sit here and you can actually contemplate what it would be like . . suppose it were true. Suppose I could turn now to a friend and rejoice with him because of his good fortune and actually carry on a mental conversation with him from the premise that he or she has already realized the dream. Now as I do it in my imagination I am setting up within myself a certain changed attitude in regard to that individual. I am producing within myself a certain positive, deliberate, emotional response, and that very moment that I do it, is seedtime. I will encounter that individual tomorrow or next week or next month and he will bear witness of that thing I plant now."
Greatest of all blessings - 1965
"A: How open do you return to the same state? Well, it becomes constant, really. It’s like going home tonight, you always return to the same place where you live, really. That place to which one most constantly returns constitutes their dwelling place. So if you return night after night to the feeling of being wanted, being secure, being whatever you want in this world, that becomes a normal, natural dwelling place. So if you can actually make it tonight natural, you’ll find yourself returning through the day to the feeling of being wanted or being happy or being whatever you want. So I can’t say you can number it once, twice, thrice or what not. It’s entirely up to you to make it natural. When it becomes natural so that the mind returns there constantly, that’s your dwelling place. As we’re told in scripture, “Where do you dwell?” they asked him. He said, “Come and see.” Where am I dwelling? Well, I dwell wherever I most constantly return in my Imagination. If in the course of a day someone is faced with a problem and they find themselves thinking all day long on that problem, that’s where they’re dwelling. Though they go to the Waldorf Astoria, the body is there, but they’re not dwelling there. So where is a man dwelling?
Tonight we have in our world many a person, many who are dwelling in some wonderful neighborhood, with outward appearances of dignity and security, but they know what they’ve done and they know that the hounds are on them. So they’re dwelling where they know the hound is going to find them. Embezzlement, you find it every day. You and I only get one little paper on the West Coast, but there are thousands of papers across this country. In every little hamlet you find men who are prominent in the eyes of the world, in their environment, who are dwelling where they know what they’ve done, and they know that the hounds are against them or coming for them. You find it every day if you read the paper carefully.
So, where are you dwelling? I ask everyone to dwell this night in the house of Jesus Christ. Say, “I am Jesus Christ.” You may not be familiar with all that he taught and all that is said of him in scripture, for the whole Bible is about Jesus Christ. The entire Old Testament writes only about Jesus Christ, and the New fulfills it. So if you just simply say, “I am he” and try to feel it…the average person would feel embarrassed to feel it and feel that’s blasphemy. And others wouldn’t dare…they wouldn’t want it. I had a friend of mine, a very successful playwright—he had, I think, three very successful Broadway plays; I know one ran over a year—and he and I would always discuss this. He said, “No, I have no time for that. I’m afraid of it.” Well, just about two years ago he was watching TV, he got up to go to the bathroom and fell; he was gone. He is still waiting before he would dare assume it. He thought the fleshpots were far more attractive…that sex to him was such a marvelous thing in this world. He’s, well, he’s ten years my senior. He still was living in the dream of that sort of thing in this world. Well, he’s now clothed in another garment, playing a part based upon what he needs, for God is infinite compassion. But he had the chance here…(tape runs out)."
"I have seen people say, “No, it can’t be done. I am not going to let this go.” Well, all right, it’s your privilege. It’s yours. If you don’t want it, unload it. And then someone who really thought of something far bigger than they could have conceived imagined it. Then they come, asking the very one to whom they turned and said, “No, it can’t be done, and we do not wish any part of it” . . then they came and they got far more than in the beginning they were willing to take for it. I know these cases. So, you don’t have to argue. You don’t have to fight. You simply know what you want, and if you had it, what would it be like? How would you feel if it were true? What would you see in the world mentally if it were true? How would your friends see you if now you were the man, or the woman, that you want to be? Well, then, let them see you. That imaginal act . . letting them see you, as they would have to see you, were it true . . is the imaginal act being planted. You are sowing the seed at that very moment. And in due season, it must come to pass, for that vision of yours, as told us in Habakkuk: it has its own appointed hour,"
"The story is, “Now that you have found ME, let all else go, but do not let ME go.” In other words, let go of everything you have ever believed, but do not let go of this concept . . that the man is well in spite of the evidence of your senses to the contrary. No matter what reason dictates, you hold onto Jesus, Jesus being that the man is healthy. You hold onto it, and you touch it by becoming intensely aware of it; that’s the only way to touch a thing."
"Someone sitting in a dungeon feeling abused can enter into an image of hate and cause disturbances in the world. Although he is completely unknown and buried in a dungeon, thereby unseen by the world, he can imagine with such intensity that many will be caught in its response. We are forever giving advice, when scripture has nothing to say about advice . . be it good or bad. Scripture only tells us to go and tell them the good news that you are immortal, as they are. That you created the world and simply extracted yourself from it, just as they can. Don’t give them any advice as to what they should or should not do."
"These are states made visible. Find out if you can. Get into a similar state. He is not occupying the only state in the world. There are infinite states and if you try even to duplicate that state (if it can be duplicated, or you can get close to it or you can transcend it) find out within your own mind’s eye what you want. Don’t be envious of him. Leave him alone for he is applying the law. He is entitled to everything in this world that he can actually conceive and desire and put himself into and live it, for man is living in an infinite world of invisible states and an individual wisely or foolishly occupies a state. While he remains faithful to the state, the state will externalize and become the circumstances and the conditions of his life. The moment he detaches himself in consciousness from that state, the things that he enjoyed before vanish from his world."
"Now, if everything in my world depends upon a state of consciousness, it would be the height of insanity to seek the thing before I actually fix within myself the state on which the thing depends, for that which requires a state of consciousness to produce its effect cannot be effected without such a state of consciousness. So when I know what I want, to support that there is an invisible state of consciousness. The world calls that invisible state a non-existing nothingness. They cannot even call it a thing, for to them it has no existence, no reality. That is the mystery: a self-begotten child conceived unaided by another and carried faithfully in the womb of God . . which is the mind of man. It was placed there without the aid of another, by man’s desire. That was the immaculate conception; that’s the virgin conception."
"Q: Well, are there different levels of repentance?
This is the story."
"There is no better time to start than now. If you are afraid to try it, then I wouldn’t know what to tell you, because in this place you must test it. They do not have a religion where you just come here and sit on Sundays and gather together and form a nice little friendship this way. This is not that kind of a religion at all. This is all to awaken the mind of man and make him a shepherd, make him something that rules. In fact, the very word translated “feed” in John 21 is translated many times in the Bible as “shepherd,” as “rule.” In Matthew 2, one shall come from Bethlehem; he shall have dominion over Israel. Well, in that one (he shall rule Israel) the word translated “rule” is the same word translated in John 21 as “feed.” So don’t take it literally. It simply means to take this mind of yours and discipline the whole mind by gathering things together and walking faithful to an invisible state, for Jacob is invisible. You thought he was a man who was a smooth-skinned lad. That is the way the mystic has of telling you this is a subjective state, and that you must learn to clothe [it] with objectivity. You walk faithful to the subjective state, and then in time it takes on the tones and the appearance of something external. The moment you detach your mind from that state . . though at the moment of detachment it had some corresponding external witness . . it will begin to fade. If you detach your mind from success in the midst of success, success as a reality outside of you fades and vanishes from your world. And then whatever you put your mind on, it takes the place of, proving success was not on the outside at all; it was within you. You clothed it for a moment and gave it the appearance of reality. But the day you are not faithful to the consciousness of being successful, the seeming solid reality of success vanishes from your world, proving itself to be the shadow it always was, and the reality . . the light of success . . was the idea in you with which you were identified. So if I assume that I AM _____ (and I name it) and I remain faithful to it, it comes out and makes itself seemingly real. If I cease to assume it and sustain it, it slowly vanishes from my world, and if it vanishes I might think the reality was there. I have forgotten how to bring Jacob. I have forgotten how to bring him to the Lord."
